My chocolate stash for dessert- seems I bought too much and have barely made a dent.
Please post the recipe for the Japanese style cold tofu.

Tonight is a simple easy and cheap South German favorite, and by South German I mean Austrian...

    Krautfleckerln...
    1 stick of butter
1 large yellow or white onion sliced thin
1 med/lrg head of green cabbage shredded, no white core
1lb or bag of Extra wide egg noodles, (Bowtie pasta has been used too if you have that on hand)
    S&P

(You can use a t of sugar and a couple pinches of caraway and if you can actually get the Fleckerl pasta that be great, if you so desire, but I just make the cheapo beepo version most of the time)

    Boil and cook pasta

    melt butter
brown onion, add cabbage, brown cabbage, salt and pepper in layers. Add cooked pasta and season one last time..

    IMPORTANT!!!!!!!!!!

The dish will not taste like anything until roughly 30 min has past. So let it rest and incorporate.

A couple of nights ago I roasted a 7 lb chicken served it with baked sweet potatoes and other sides. The next day the plan has always been to debone the chicken and use the meat in something else. Sometimes it is tortilla soup, chicken and green chilis enchiladas, chicken stir fry, chicken primavera, etc. Usually what you make the second day is enough for a third day. After three days if cooked meat has not been eaten it gets tossed. This time it was Hawaiian chicken salad. Chopped chicken, red seedless grapes halved, chopped celery, toasted pecan halves, pineapple tidbits unsweetened from a can or use fresh. Dressing is mayo and a couple of tablespoons of pineapple juice and a little salt. Serve on a bed of lettuce. We ate it for lunch and dinner yesterday and for lunch today finishing it off. So tonight it is takeout. Anything but chicken. Tomorrow it will be a pot of meatballs and sauce. We will have it over pasta the first night, the next night it will be meatball subs and the remainder will go into the freezer for a quick meal in a week or so. The neighbors have had bumper crops of tomatoes this year and have been sharing them. I will be putting them to good use.

Im seeing this vegan woman, so she was the one who prepared it lol.

I believe it was just raw silk tofu, chilled and drained but still very soft like a cheesecake. She added thinly sliced scallions and green onions for a topping and combined Japanese soy sauce (Kikoman brand) with Chinese hoisin sauce for dipping.

Made Chicken salad on Ciabatta. Brezels, small side salad, nothing fancy, butter greens, cuke, cherubs, red onion, little Olive Garden Parm Ranch....(The only ranch I actually like on my salad)
