What did you have for dinner? -Part dois

We have a stove top steamer pot, that's the only way we've made shrimp for years. They do come out great, we have them plain with butter or cocktail sauce, or make shrimp salad on French baguette. So many ways to enjoy them, we try to get the 'colossal' shrimp if available.
Forest Gump comes to mind.
  • Bubba : Anyway, like I was sayin', shrimp is the fruit of the sea. You can barbecue it, boil it, broil it, bake it, saute it. Dey's uh, shrimp-kabobs, shrimp creole, shrimp gumbo. Pan fried, deep fried, stir-fried. There's pineapple shrimp, lemon shrimp, coconut shrimp, pepper shrimp, shrimp soup, shrimp stew, shrimp salad, shrimp and potatoes, shrimp burger, shrimp sandwich. That- that's about it.

Another grain, veggie and roast chicken bowl. I'm tired and wanted something incredibly easy. I might lay down for a few minutes if the thunderstorm subsidies.

People in the neighborhood were lighting fireworks till well past midnight last night. My cat was terrified of the noise.

Pizza Sunday. Sam's choice spinach alfredo with some extra mushrooms that needed to be eaten. Salad, gummy vitamins for dessert.

Our Canada Day weekend and I had the brood (8) here at the lake plus my BIl and niece, my brother, SIl, niece and her BF......16 all together. Lots of fun on the water skiing, tubing and just plain drifting on floaties. Dinner was BBQ chicken, ribs, corn bread casserole, herb roasted potatoes, baked beans, broccoli, caesar salad and a summer berry trifle. No complaints....

I'm glad you had such a good time.

I heard it as the Brits spent 500 years conquering the globe looking for someone who could cook.

In Heaven, the Germans are the engineers, the French are the cooks and the English are the policemen the Italians are the lovers and its organized by the Swiss.
