What did you have for dinner? -Part dois

When we were still eating meat, lamb and goat were some of our favorites.
Leg of lamb stuffed with garlic cloves was a big part of holidays when I was growing up and still is and needs to be shared with friends and family. . Lamb stew is another favorite and for a special dinner, lamb chops with rosemary. I would like to try a lamb burger sometime.

Norwegian salmon fillet sprinkled with Old Bay and grilled in the oven, with gold potatoes sliced, seasoned and fried in olive oil until browned on the outside and tender and soft inside. Turkey Hill Natural salted caramel ice cream for dessert.

We used to frequent a Lebanese restaurant that made the best lamb soup. You know everything tastes better when it is made in a big batch and is simmered for a long time. After a few visits we got to know the head chef, a lovely motherly woman. She always made sure we were well taken care of. We became friends and attended her daughter's wedding.

Fried egg plant with sauce and mozzarella on ciabatta rolls, caprese salad and honeydew/cantaloupe slices with my new addiction Gold Peak diet iced tea.

Baked chicken from Kroger's was dinner tonight. Today was grocery day and due to life I did not get to the store until late afternoon. Hubby went with me and that was a blessing. We were in the store for at least 2 hours because I had a very long list and the store was crowded. They had a great ad this week of many of the items on my list. I worked on getting everything into the freezer and refrigerator first. But when it came to putting away staples, the cabinets needed reorganized and at the same time checking for expiration dates takes more time. I found the rapid yeast I knew I had so now I will be making cinnamon rolls to be shared with the neighbor who brought me over a big bag of tomatoes from their garden today. I have not even started with the pantry yet the bags of groceries on the floor in front of it. But the fruit bowl has been replenished and it is picturesque filled with apples, pears, seedless mandarin oranges, bananas, peaches, nectarines.

You make it sound so good

Yeah, we used potato bags from Amazon. Not as many or as big as we hoped from them but they were delicious. That's 2 out of 5 bags. We have even more just in the ground.

Potato bags? I've never heard of this before but I went to Amazon and learned about them. Glad that they were delicious. They certainly look delicious.

Hubby is on his own. Not feeling up to eating or cooking. :(

Egg omelet with sauteed onions, shallots, roasted red peppers (from jar), chives, parsley on Pillsbury original flaky biscuits.

Had a super busy day so tonight it was each man for themselves. Hubby finished off most of the baked chicken and I had a smoked turkey sammich.
Sounds awesome!!
