What did you have for dinner? -Part dois

Today hubby and I went to stay with the grandkids while our son had back surgery. It got to be dinner time so we ordered from Tartano's Pizzeria, a neighborhood favorite. The kids and hubby loved the pizza. I ordered the wedding soup, zucchini sticks and a cannoli . Everything tasted great but I just could not eat it because of the burden I had for my son. Then we got a face time with him in the recovery room and the surgeon saying he did well. After that the soup was cold and so were the zucchini sticks but I managed to finish off the cannoli.

What is it about North Americans and cheese lol. I like cheese but not with everything.🤣

This is for Ash-my last meal was alien flesh. Delicious. Actually it was turkey, lettuce, tomato and brown bread. I am boring.

I'd try alien flesh if I had a recipe and a sample.

Mayo at least?

Ok, I bite. What cheese are we talking about? The real thing or some mixed up stuff?

about one and three quarters of two small cheeseburgers
small fries.

got a couple cheeseburgers (no onions or pickles) for my ancient dog, who is now at "i will eat cheeseburgers and maybe not whatever else you give me." i am trying to give her other things for a balanced diet with some success, but we are almost a year past dog food now. she'll be sixteen in August, i hope.

Gerber tot meal that you heat for like twenty seconds
cheese cubes
blueberries or oatmeal bar
fruit / veggie pouch.

i get it ready to go in the morning. my wife found an awesome little kid lunch box with hot / cold compartments.

Wife is away until Sunday so I bought Chinese takeout (cuisine Chinoise): shredded pork in garlic sauce & orange beef. I had Orange Beef in a swanky Chinese restaurant in Manhattan near the Blue Man Group. Funny guys.

I had a KFC bucket thing last night...I think it’s one of the better fast foods out there. My wife gets a discount so all 4 of us ( us being her , me and two Jack Russels ) got like a whole bucket of dead chickens and 4 lots of chips with BBQ nugget whats its for £14.

Americans certainly seem to like cheese...my old brother in law ( American , no longer with us) once made us pizzas that were as high as they were wide...must have been a pound of cheese on each one...we worked our way though them , got totally stuffed, then he informed us they were starters and he bought out a huge bowl of pasta lol.🤢🤮🥴

It's still early here on the CA. coast but I got started with dinner early.

We are having homemade chicken salad on toasted ciabattas.
For dessert, homemade lemon meringue pie. This was a group effort, (my husband picked the lemons). ;)

Bon appétit and happy Saturday to all. :)

A lot cheaper than it is here in the states!

We have a grocery story in our neck of the woods that makes absolutely the best fried chicken. I know it's fattening, but sometimes, you just have to have it. It's like an internal clock that says, time for some killer chicken!

Massaman Curry. Got the premade stuff in a can.Added some chicken, carrots and extra potatoes. Cooked it together and threw it on top of some rice. Not really spicy, kind of mild.

Sounds delish. Right now I am trying to empty out my freezer of things that were blanched and frozen last Summer. I finished off the green beans by brother shared with me from his garden. They were the most beautiful green beans I have ever seen home grown and absolutely delicious. We had the green beans with new potatoes cooked in chicken broth with cornbread. It was yummy. The only thing left that needs to be used up is a leg of lamb and a couple of lamb steaks. I hate wasting food.

It all tastes like chicken you know that.
Not all parts of the chicken taste the same. Depends on which part we're talking about.
