My Lone Star belt buckle works as a bottle opener and a I keep a koozie in my back pocket.

We have travelled to Berlin more than once. There is a bar/restaurant that was close to the hotel called the “House of 100 Beers.” Prominently displayed were Lone Star and Budweiser, why’d we leave home?

You need to put more, and better countries on your poll.

Russia? No one likes Russian beer, including Russians.

I would assume that Russia makes beer but I have never heard of one... Even China makes better beer.

Every time I go back east, I try to bring a 6 pack of Yuengling home in my bags, wish I could get it here. Weirdest beer story, I was in S. Africa, and a bar I went to had a beer from a microbrewery in my home town, one that was even hard to find at home, and here it was on the other side of the planet. Crazy Ed's, with a hot serrano chile in the bottle.

My last job was owned by folks from the Yuengling area. Boss office had a large neon Yuengling sign in it.

I miss some of the good California micro-brews... Mendocino Brewing Company, Bear Republic and Lagunitas.

other posters have opinions

Of course they have! :)
And this thread gives room for every opinion. :)
Even for idiotic personal insults against me for creating this poll! :)
So - go on with it!

Over and out. :)

Enjoyable thread, the OP notwithstanding. I used to be able to drink copious quantities of beer. Nowadays two and I am bloated. I think that is why bourbon was invented!
Used to party at every opportunity; there was one guy I worked with who would show up and make a big display about the 12-pack he was contributing to the shindig, then he and his woman drank 10 or 12 beers and rescue=ed his original 12-pack for the trip home.....

What "personal insults"?

The only ones I see are those you made.

Oh, and OTHER is still in the lead.

Must have been a 12 of "Old Style".

A very special beer:

Berliner Weiße

Berliner Weisse (German: Berliner Weiße) is a cloudy, sour beer of around 3% alcohol by volume. It is a regional variation of the wheat beer style from Northern Germany, dating back to at least the 16th century. It can be made from combinations of malted barley and wheat, with the stipulation that the malts are kilned at very low temperatures to minimise colour formation. The fermentation takes place with a mixture of yeast and lactic acid bacteria, a prerequisite that creates the lactic acid taste, a distinguishing feature of Berlin Weisse.[1]

By the late 19th century, Berliner Weisse was the most popular alcoholic drink in Berlin, with up to fifty breweries producing it. By the late 20th century, there were only two breweries left in Berlin producing the beer.[1] However, there are many of American and Canadian brewers who make a beer of similar style and give their product the Berliner Weisse label.

Notably missing from your list is Mexico. Probably the highest volume after US in the US.

I personally don't care for Mexican beer.

NOTHING is missing.

Visited Anderson Valley Brewing last fall. Awesome experience.

I am partial to Northern California Breweries... That is another great one. Gila Monster is a great micro...Russian River is a good one and a small local one I liked was in Calistoga, Napa Valley.

There are just so many great micro-breweries out there... My first local one where I grew up was Huntington Beach Beer Co.

Great burgers... great beer... good times.

I always brag about the 75+ breweries in San Diego area... I try to hit them all but a few have opened and closed before I could get to them.

Of course they have! :)

Yeah, some passive aggressive there...

We were in Carlsbad and SD last weekend, biked from Coronado to downtown and took the ferry back, and rode from Carlsbad up to Encinitas. I can't find Karl Strauss in Phoenix though.

NOTHING is missing.

Just many of the best brewing countries out there. Czechia, Mexico, Asian and African countries, Australia, Japan, Canada, etc...

A pint of Guinness is poured for you! :peace
