Lets say money is no object, what are you craving? The question came to mind while watching a food show.

Nothing beats a nice steak dinner. Pair it with a baked potato and steamed veggies. Top it off with an ice cold draft beer.

Good prim rib or a good New York steak diner

Spaghetti and a good sauce. Carbs is what I am craving. Might change tomorrow.

Warm peanut butter cookies from my elementary school cafeteria.

the Admiral's Feast at Red Lobster was always my "let's celebrate big time" meal. i might have it again someday. short of that, a really good veggie burger at a more upscale place, or maybe fettuccine Alfredo.

Prime Rib, cioppino, steamed green beans with bacon, garlic, and onions, and I concur with Azgreg, an ice cold draft--warsteiner pilsner.

Fettuccine Alfredo, any pasta is good. Pasta with pesto. Yup, craving carbs.

I just finished cooking Chinese orange sesame chicken and pork fried rice plus about 8 cups of white rice. I also make eggplant parmigiano and a small pork roast. I've been on a cooking binge all day and I'm not even hungry. I feel like having a cookie dough ice cream cone from Ben & Jerry's.

my calorie counter started giving me a pie chart breakdown of my carb / fat / protein intake every day. here i was feeling all good about being under my calorie goal pretty much every day, and then i see that my carb intake is pretty significant. i'll probably have to address that sooner or later, though my weight is still fine.

I have lost nearly 85lbs just by cutting carbs out. The first week or so sucks bad, but if you can get through it, dieting becomes easy.

We gave up almost all carbs, refined sugars etc. Made a world of difference. Pasta make my mouth water, now more so than ever.

good work. that beats the way i dropped 100 the first time : 900 calories a day. it didn't stick, and i ended up gaining some of it back when i stopped the diet. after that, it has been calorie counting and exercise since about 2007 or so. however, yeah, i need to cut carbs and increase protein intake. i don't have any blood sugar issues as of the last checkup, but still.

I just try to keep my calories under 1500, usually though I stop being hungry so its pretty easy.

I fell off the wagon hard last month (started a new relationship/lots of dating) and am getting myself on it again right now with lots of gatorade zero and coffee with stevia.

Start with a lobster bisque. Cheddar bisquits. A good ribeye and some chilled king crab with butter. Grilled asparagus.

If this is about the best meal money can buy...not a special occasion just...what is the one great meal...

I'd go with Franklin's in Austin on a Saturday.

Beef Rib, Brisket, Pork Ribs. Slaw. Bourbon Banana pie.

I'd go to Japan and have a meal of Kobe beef.

Kobe beef - Wikipedia

I'd pick one of these restaurants.

5 Best Kobe Beef Restaurants in Kobe 2020 - Japan Web Magazine

Sure, I could go to one of the few restaurants in the US and eat it. Heck, I could order it from Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/kobe-beef/s?k=kobe+beef But if money is no object, I'll just get the real thing.

better energy and less of that washed out crashy feeling? i've been thinking about cutting back, at least a little. i managed to eliminate meat a couple years back, and that was something that i thought that i might not be able to do.

Just like with meat, you'll find a lot of substitutes that are not bad at all. I came across several pasta varieties at Aldi yesterday. Haven't tried it yet, but will let you know.

Not sure why you have to win money to have a good meal?????????

I often eat great meals. No lotto needed.
