Without creating a poll, I am just asking:

Vegetarian, Vegan, or any other kind of food restrictions?

Or no restrictions?

I do not have any dietary restrictions beyond preferences. I do my own version of a reducetarian diet. Instead of only occasionally eating meat though, I have just reduced the amount of meat I eat in a day to below a single serving size. I mainly use meat only when I need/want flavor cooked into what is otherwise a vegetable/grain based meal.

My motto is like this:

"I may eat and drink whatever I like - only a little bit less of it." :)

i'm a vegetarian by choice, though i might have fish again someday when kiddo gets older. as for restrictions, i restrict calories so that i don't get heavy again. i have been keeping an exercise and food diary since the late 2000s.

I refuse to eat the innards of an animal so I do restrict somewhat.

I don't eat beef or pork, haven't for over 30 years.

I don't miss it either.

Lacto-vegetarian

Vegetarian by choice, omitting refined sugars, most carbs and gluten.

No restrictions, but I am a vegetarian Monday through Thursday so I dont get fat.

I am VERY lactose intolerent and I also choose to eat keto while I am in a weight loss phase.

Food restrictions are bad for your health!

I was looking for a beer thread but I'll comment. I do not consider my diet (that being an array of food which can be changed, not a temporary thing) to be restrictive but selective. I don't, by default, agree to eat everything. Diet is an expression. Life is full of expressions and diet is merely an option among many. In the demonstration of life, there are many signs to be held, many issues to be raised, many actions to take and unlimited movements to become a part of. If everyone did the same thing, that would be stupid. There wouldn't be opportunity for expression.

So, nose and pinky aloft, I choose what I will eat and what I will not. I dare to say to society, "nay! In that I shall not partake!"

We all do that. For some of us, it's a thing. A demonstration. A sign, among many, held aloft in vain just like everyone else's signs. But we do it. We gotta have our say. Most people just don't make their say in the context of food.

I've been vegan 20 years. See username, usertitle (it fits, I'll explain if asked) and signature.

No sweets or juices. Only caloric beverages unsweetened vegetable juice, booze, milk.

No junk food. Only exception is once and a while I like nachos with dipping cheese.

Half-assed evasion of carbs, but with the main focus on avoiding processed ones.

High fiber.

Plenty of meat

Vegans crack me up. They kill more critters with their soy bean fields and other similar farming than I kill out hunting meat. What about the poor gophers, voles, rabbits, snakes, and birds that die so that a vegetable can make it to the shelves of Whole Foods?

LOONS

...and ironically they are mostly all in favor of abortion on demand too.

I like my steaks medium rare and smothered in pork chops.

Vegetarian and Vegan is a deeply unhealthy obsession with food.
A sign of over-pampered people in search of problems that are not there.

So it is.

Not drinking wine or beer is also a food restriction.
And nothing to be proud of.

I live without any kind of food restrictions.
