I know that there are about 1000000000000000000000 types of coffee.

But here the topic will be only:

black (without milk or sugar?
with milk - and that may also be milk powder or cream etc etc
with sugar - and that may also be some other kind of sweetener
with milk and sugar

If I don't have it black, it's with Captain Morgan's Private Stock, and Irish Cream.

I buy whole bean and grind it before brewing.

The poll is now clickable.
It always takes some time to fill in the options.

I'm a lightweight and have to have cream & sugar in mine

Coffee is awesome!

Irish Cream 35-65%

Very hot and black.

And, usually three cups in the morning.

2 out of 4 take milk and sugar

I take milk only

I like my coffee how I like my men... not at all.

Freshly ground and a bit of french vanilla creamer.

I don't drink coffee. I'm naturally this awesome at all hours of operation.

Typically a little sugar and a little cream, just like I am having right now.

I have a ninja coffee bar that makes a couple different kinds of coffee and I love making a rich brew with a dash of caramel sauce and then just topping it off with some frothed milk, soooo good!

No Authoritarianism permitted.

Depends on the time of year, weather and all that. Hot in the winter, iced in the summer.

Preference for dark roasted Puerto Rican Estate coffees from the mountains where coffee was first planted in the "New World." Lightened with a few drops of half and half to "grab" the coffee oils. Unsweetened for breakfast, later in the day, a bit of Calvados or another brandy. Always fresh ground with a burr grinder. Made in a French Press, unless entertaining, then a Bonavita machine which first infuses the grinds, damps them down, and actually brews at 185 degrees, the optimum temperature which few machines other than Bunn reach. No bells and whistles, just a great coffee making machine.

Espresso and Turkish coffees are different animals. Stainless steel Moka pot for Espresso on the stove top. No fancy machines. No aluminum pots that are reactive and corrode. Turkish coffee requires a copper ibrik or Greek briki, same thing. Making both an art. However Turkish coffee is usually sweetened, so I avoid it. An espresso, the cup rim kissed with a lemon rind, more my taste. Both can be made with any dark roasted coffee, the key, a superfine grind.

Come summer, I prefer extra strong brewed hot coffee, chilled overnight, iced with milk the next day. None of this cold brewed flavorless "bright and sweet" syrup concentrate for me. It doesn't have the right kick, and is often accompanied by a bitter aftertaste.

I admit I also have a weakness for Ethiopian Yirgacheffe when I want a more mellow flavor. Usually after a heavy dinner.

I'm also partial to Manhattan Special coffee soda, well chilled on a hot summer day. The only coffee soda I've found that tastes like a quality coffee.

The infamous diner or deli coffee made from Columbian and Brazilian blends, will do in a clutch, but only if from a Bunn Machine which brews at the perfect temperature. And served dark, not black is a must.

It seems I am the only one who takes milk - but no sugar

I rarely have coffee these days, but when I do, it's generally black, as that's how my wife drinks it. Sometimes I prefer cream and splenda, though. Sort of depends.

Black no sugar in the morning. Espresso in the afternoon.

I usually drink my coffee with a little sugar and cream. Not too much for it to be overpowering or anything.

If I'm going with what is beyond normal coffee, I like a four shot Mocha with Carmel. No whip or milk.

My wife says that good coffee doesn't need milk or sugar. I still put sugar in it, though. Black espresso is definitely an acquired taste. I'm learning to like it. Coffee only needs to be "doctored up" if it sucks. What passes for coffee in most places is just coffee-flavored tea. You need to start with a good product to begin with such as Cafe Bustelo or Cafe Pilon.

Brazilians still snicker about the name "Bustelo", because it sounds like "booger" in Portuguese.

Tall, dark and strong, just like my man.

Diabetics like myself have to avoid sugar so I use a pinch of stevia powder and a smidgeon of cream in my coffee.
Unless it is below 45 degrees out, I drink it iced because there is no sense in having a hot beverage when it's in the 90's.
So for me, hot coffee is a winter drink.
Occasionally I'll have it hot late at night.

Being Italian, I drink it throughout the day.
I prefer Medaglia D'oro but I also have a collection of other various and sundry blends for a little changeup.
In fact, I might just make some Turkish style coffee tonight, just for variety's sake.

One continuous cup till after lunch. Black

The only acceptable answer is "black".
