Let us agree to disagree. :)

And: You are free to construct a poll according to your own opinion. :)

Include Portugal and delete Malta to open space for Portugal. Malta belongs in the "others" category while Portugal is a major, major wine country.

I couldn't, even if I wanted.
It is just not possible
It seems you have never posted a poll.

Perhaps you start now? :)

You couldn't? That's not true. You can't change it now unless you are a moderator, but when you typed up the poll in the first place, you could perfectly have typed Portugal instead of typing Malta.

It's cute that you invite me to post my own poll which is a sort of disguised jab. It seems like you can't take the criticism. See, if you post something publicly in an Internet forum, you are immediately open to criticism. If you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen.

Again, selecting 9 wine countries and a category of Others, and *choosing* (that *was* your choice) to include Malta in the list of 9 and not Portugal, is a blunder, and any person who knows wine will identify it as such. I called you out on it in a polite manner, even saying "I'm sorry to say", etc. But instead of saying "oops, you're right" you *chose* to subtly attack me, which tells me that you can't tolerate criticism.

People who can't tolerate criticism should steer clear of Internet boards.

Deutschland - Germany
Österreich - Austria
Schweiz - Switzerland
Liechtenstein - Liechtenstein
England - England
Luxemburg - Luxembourg
Frankreich - France
Portugal - Portugal
Spanien - Spain
Malta - Malta
Italien - Italy
Griechenland - Greece
Kroatien - Croatia
Ungarn - Hungary
Russland - Russia
Slowenien - Slovenia
Rumänien - Romania
Bulgarien - Bulgaria
Moldawien - Moldavia

Here is my alternative list again
It includes Portugal - and also Croatia etc etc.
Some may argue, that I should have included Croatia in my poll list.

But whatever you do, you can't please everyone.
So I can only repeat: Everbody is free to start a poll of its own - and do it better ....

@ Wines from France

If they are from Alsace, they are more like German wines.

The names of the grape varieties are also often German: Riesling, Silvaner, Gewürztraminer.
The famous "Edelzwicker" is not the name of a grape variety, but means: "a mixture of noble sorts".

12 voters so far ....

and 11 votes each for Germany, France, Italy

It will be a red wine from Germany again tonight.
Grape variety: Dornfelder.

France and Germanny are leading with 12 votes each - from 13 voters.

Long live England!
Maybe I will create a wine poll once that includes England - and other countries that I had to leave out here.

It might as well be vinegar to me! The nearest to serious wine drinking has been some happy evenings on sangria! As for German wines, sadly I have only dim childhood memories of sneaking some Blue Nun at parties, and perhaps Black Tower, in a tall dark bottle?

"Blue Nun" Is Germany's revenge on England.
No self-respecting German would drink such stuff.

Before somebody complains about "missing countries" - please note:

Unfortunately the number of options is restricted to 10.

May I repeat my statement.
Those constant complainers about "missing countries" please take notice.
I am sure those people have never created such a poll of their own.
They can only criticise existing polls.

Should I create a second poll, I am sure those "wise guys" will bitterly complain, that now these countries are missing:
