A man was fatally stabbed Monday evening while inside a Maryland Popeyes following a fight over a chicken sandwich, a source told Fox News.

Prince George's County police said they received reports of a fight at a Popeyes location in the 6200 block of Livingston Road in Oxon Hill, Md., on Monday at around 7 p.m. Oxon Hill is about 20 minutes from Washington, D.C.

Prince George's County police have not said what the fight was about. However, FOX 5 reported that the altercation began after someone cut the line as people waited to order Popeyes’ popular chicken sandwich, which returned to the fast-food chain on Sunday.

This chicken sandwhich is to die for.

If Maryland hadn't abolished the death penalty, he could have requested one as his last meal.

Yeah...Maryland is a nice place. Specially near the beltway.

People ought to just make their own:

The headline is a tad misleading since the fight appears to have been over line cutting, not specifically about what was on the menu. This is much like saying that a road rage incident was caused by where the assailant was going (to buy a six pack?) rather than being delayed en route by the other motorist.

True dat.

I was thinking they might going for a "crime of passion" defense.

"Love that chicken from Popeyes."

When I was first read about this on the Daily Mail website (that gives all the crimes in America that are ignored by the woke media), I was disgusted, sickened, and angered.

Of course, I was not surprised.

Personally, even though I do like Popeyes fried chicken, I think they discriminate.

In my town, the only place you will find a Popeyes is 3 or 4 blocks either side of MLK Blvd.

Does anyone here, living in a lily white neighborhood, have a nearby Popeyes? Just curious.

Yeah, there's a Popeye's downtown, in a white neighborhood.

Maybe they used to be a black thing.

I do not live in a "lily white" area. Kyle, TX is (45%?) non-Hispanic white, (46%?) Hispanic and has very few (6%?) black folks but we have a Popeyes.

People in this country have lost control of themselves. I see it all the time on the highways. Drivers are aggressive, they're vindictive, they're actually a threat to others on the highway. Two days ago a Latino man had battery acid thrown in his face in a dispute over a parking spot. Now this, a dispute over a sandwich at a Popeye's. People had disputes in the past over parking spaces and chicken sandwiches, but they didn't stab the other person to death or throw battery acid in his face. People are more unhinged and out of control of their emotions and they're acting out with deadly force. People seem to have lost their ability to cope with stress and their ability to separate right from wrong.

I supervised the framing and drywall construction at a new high school being built in Kyle, TX back in the 80's. I think I mentioned that before. Also did a high school in Wimberly. Wasn't much to the town back then. Beautiful part of Texas. Glad you got a Popeyes. I'm jealous.

Lots of Popeyes in Calgary, not lily white (40 % ethnic minority but few of African ethnicity)
