Popeyes

OR

Chick-fil-A

Popeyes and Chick-fil-A both sell chicken to lots of groups of people. But as Williams-Forson observes, there is — at least in perception — a kind of racial affiliation, As the narrative goes, she says, “Popeyes equals black, and Chick-fil-A equals non-black, which is kind of interesting to me,” and she isn’t alone.

Popeyes vs. Chick-fil-A fried chicken sandwiches, explained - Vox

I am definitely on the side of Chick-fil-A. Popeyes really dropped the ball running out of chicken! Epic failure!

Where's the button to vote for KFC? Or the McChicken sandwich? Lousy poll.

I'd go for "none of the above".

Neither... both have too much MSG for me. [as do most chicken places]

when i ate meat, it was mostly KFC on the rare occasions that i got fried chicken. had Chik FilA a couple times before people started going insane and waiting in line for it like it was a rock concert. i thought that it was decent, but not so much better than McDonalds that i would go out of my way to go there. this was in the mid 2000s, though, so maybe it's better now. i've had Popeyes a few times, but it has been so long that i couldn't give it a meaningful review. if KFC takes the Beyond Chicken meatless chicken nationwide, i'll definitely give that a shot. i'm a fan of the Impossible Whopper and i didn't even really like Whoppers that much when i ate meat. it's any port in a storm for vegetarian fast food consumers in the Midwest.

Free the chickens! Eat pigeons, the rats of the air!

I must say, that while I love the Chick-fil-A (CFA) chicken (spicy is best!), I recently stopped by there and decied to try their new Mac & cheese as a side.

I am done fighting the chicken sandwich war (I think CFA wins by a narrow margin) ... CFA has destroyed the competition in the mac & cheese war.

Granted, the vast majority of mac & cheese offerings in fast food have been awful versions of Kraft mac & cheese so it wouldn't be a hard fight to win, but that is why the mac & cheese at CFA is so amazing to me. They didn't have to try when making a fast food mac & cheese side... it would sell regardless to parents with toddlers everywhere... but they actually went out of their way to make a really good, stand out, mac & cheese.

Applause to them for not cutting corners.

Neither.

The real chicken war is between breast men and thigh men. I’m most definitely a thigh man (on chickens anyway).

When I lived in San Diego, I met a flight attendant who decided to quit her job after 9/11 because she was a single mother to a 3 year-old boy. Our very first date involved me driving them to Virginia Beach where she grew up. She got an HR job in Norfolk. I got a job as a scuba instructor in Virginia Beach. I loved Susan deeply. She died of cancer. Her two favorite chain restaurants where Chick-Fil-A and Sonny's BBQ. I'm a Chick-Fil-A fan because the place reminds me of her.
