You dont eat anything else all day, maybe a candy bar, but I am serious...an all fast food day.......

Mine was today, the first in many years, maybe five.

I had started the day trying to buy Kripsy Kremes for my mechanics shop, because they always take care of us so well and I was near Tacoma anyways. Well, they say that their fry machine is wonky and that it broke again today so they could not open till 7am. There was no way I was waiting an hour to see if the sign was right. But I did hit a new donut shop in lacey for an apple fritter. The shop is not the best, it will not be here long, too bad the immigrant couple who run it dont have something better to offer.

Lunch: The five dollar nacho fry box from Taco Bell...from the store that I hate. The guy in front of me was all "I mean it, I want no sourcream on ANYTHING, the last five times I have been here you have made it wrong".

Dinner: McD's Big Mac, fries, $1 chicken sand. Knew in 10 seconds that the fries were old ( a real common problem over many many years at this corporate store). When I got home I found out that the middle section of the bun was missing on my Mac, wife got hers....this has never happened in all of the years of improperly made McDonalds that I have experienced. The demonstrated lack of caring is quite amazing actually but hey the store got the whole very expensive exterior remodel about 4 years ago and a gutting of the interior just happened last month...gobs of money spent, but my fries are still cold and now I cant even have all of my Big Mac bun.

I have not slept in 30 hours, for reasons that I am not going into but I am not thrilled.

I am probably whiny.

You seem concerned with really odd things.

And, yes, you're whining.

I SHOOT FRUIT BATS INTO CEREAL BOXES.

that would have been my 2nd colonoscopy  ............... ...........

oh; sorry, I thought you said 'fast' ............... you said fast food .............. :lamo .............

I like my hamburger with mustard and tomato only. At a Wendy's once, I got bun, mustard, and tomato....no meat.

Of course I am into strange things and hold strange ideas,

That is what makes me so valuable.

One day you might figure this out.

Do you have anything for us?

I just got back from a 12 day road trip so all-fast food days were the norm, and I am regretting it.

During my first year as an expat. I was in Beijing and totally bewildered on my first day. Found a McDonalds and ate breakfast, lunch, and dinner there for the next few days. Later on I grew to like local cuisine and figured out how to buy street food, which was a big improvement.

I challenged my daughter who loves fast food to 30 days of fasting from fast food.

She didn't understand why she lost 7 pounds in the last month.

Note:

Not saying my daughter needed to lose any weight...

Off topic but I was just introduced to tomato sandwiches but with mayo instead of mustard and real fresh tomatoes. It was surprisingly delicious.

I ate a tomato sandwich in my friend's house once when I was a kid. We had finished surfing and I was sitting in his house bored and hungry. He left to do some skateboarding and I opened up his fridge. Nothing but a loaf of bread, tomatoes and mayo. I ate it all and it was very good. I've made lots of tomato sandwiches since then.

Try adding a fried egg to a BLT....

when i was obese about 14 years ago, i would sometimes do three fast food meals in a day and then maybe stop off for some chips and dip or something at the gas station at night. then i got tired of being fat so i changed my diet.

later, after losing the weight, i would generally have just one meal on show days, and it was usually McDonalds or Hardees. that was probably my most recent "fast food only" day unless i'm forgetting travel or something. i would get a burger and fries and read USA Today weekend edition. then i'd stop off for a candy bar and a small bag of chips. i generally burned a lot of it off onstage, as our shows were pretty long. i needed the energy. it was a fun ritual getting ready for the show in the late afternoon.

Or fried over extra easy on a bacon cheeseburger...

Speaking of which, there's a hotdog place near my friend's house called Pink's. One of their dog toppings has crispy bacon, a fried egg and hollandaise sauce poured over it. I nromally eat it with fires, onion rings and a pint of Belgian ale. Delicious.

I don't eat breakfast. Yesterday, Burger King for lunch, Bo Jangles for supper. Usually we don't do fast foods but perhaps once a week. Yesterday was different.

Stupid thread ................... stupid

Sadly, I am on the road a lot. One (1) advance guy sets up a crockpot frequently. The other? Not a chance. So, I am trying to beat the system. I got a crockpot for my bday and will set it up ON THE TRUCK. The driver is all in.

R U a Truck Driver?

I was under the impression that you are a musician.

I am a musician. Obviously, our truck drives right along with our vehicle. He has space and power for it in his cab, too. I start it, in theory, and he watches/protects it all day.

Btw. I have an air fryer, too. Hopefully, we'll revolutionize our diets.

I once got a Sonic cheeseburger with nothing but the burger patty, cheese and mayonnaise (mayo from here on out) on the sandwich because in response to "with mayo, mustard or catsup?" question my girlfriend replied "mayo only". Adding "only" to any condiment choice request can be disastrous when communicating with MW morons. The correct response appears to be "yes" which limits the options of the MW moron to request the selection of a single additional condiment 'only'.

That's good! I have had enough problems today.... I was pretty sure that my friend Chomsky has seen the inside of a Law School so I called him a lawyer, but apparently I am wrong.

I am still working on sorting that out, being wrong about you too would have REALLY sucked.

I do so hate being wrong.

I really don't know when my last all-fast-food day was...I've been a "gym rat"/"fitness freak" for too too long to recall when, if ever, that happened....Sometime in my childhood, perhaps? Did I even have one then? Maybe on a collegiate roll? Periodically, my friends and I would take road trips to visit friends at other schools, so I suppose on some of them we had an all-fast-food day.

When I was a child, going to McDonald's was something of a fun treat. We'd also occasionally go to Big Boy, Hot Shoppe, Ho Jo's, i-Hop and the like, and every once in a while, mostly when it was time to buy back-to-school clothes, Momma would take all or some of us kids with her when she went shopping, and we'd eat in the store's restaurant.

Overall, though, fast food wasn't "a thing" for us. I don't think we had an aversion to it; we just didn't choose to eat it. Besides, we mostly had meals at home (or someone else's home) and by and large we liked it that way. Going out to eat was something our parents did more so than a thing we often did as a family.
