Your garden

OK but would that affect the fact that they are limp and not standing up straight any longer?

It would help, are you watering enough? Give them some fish emulsion, they need to be fed too.

This is my first Aerogarden. It's a 100% hydroponic setup, and I love it. It's all digital, and tells you when to add water and nutrients. All you have to do is just use them. Seriously, this is foolproof. As you can see on the bottom left and center, I used the thyme and parsley on chicken the other day, and we use the chives and the basil often, too, but the basil is growing so fast that we can't use it fast enough. I've started giving it to my friends, and still have lots left over. Big, beautiful, aromatic leaves, too.

This is my second Aerogarden. The herbs did so well that we thought we'd try to grow lettuce. Several different kinds of lettuce here, and it's growing faster than the herbs. I watched a Youtube video of a guy growing lettuce, and it grew so fast that his girlfriend was eating two salads a day and it was still too much.

Honestly, the only thing I hate about the UV light is that it highlights everything. When I first watched a Youtube video about Aerogarden (before I bought one), I thought the guy growing the stuff was just a pig. His house looked dusty and dirty. I am looking at my pictures and the units look dirty, but really, they aren't that bad. They just highlight every single thing to make it look worse than it actually is. :3oops:

These are just seedlings that I thought I'd try my hand at. I am letting them leech off the UV light from the Aerogardens, and they are using the same nutrients as the Aerogarden plants are. These are dill, rosemary and oregano. I do so poorly with our intense heat and sun that I may look into setting up a UV station in my garage and just growing things from there. I would rather they be outside, but I seem to not do well with plants outside.

Yeah, was told to flood them really good once a day. I don't have fish emulsion, but I have tomato food that I bought from Lowe's. How often do they need to be fed? I guess I could go look at the bag.

Just don't overfeed. The thing about gardening....the plants want to grow, don't overdo it and get in their way...

I used to start my tomatoes like your seedlings, but for the first couple of weeks, I would keep the clear plastic cover over them. The cover kept in the moisture. I had some grow lights, blue spectrum, better for early growth (still white, but not red spectrum).

Here is the passion fruit vine, photobombed by my dog Veruca (no blooms today):

And the big patch of banana, crowding out my dwarf blood orange that has a lot of fruit growing:

tomatoes
green beans
cucumbers
corn
peppers

I also want to get one of those starter kits for sprouts indoors. When I try to sprout things on the available window sills, there isn't quite enough light and the stems end up too long. Screws up production in the long run.

I'm amazed.

I really will try to remember to take a picture. It's impressive. On either side of the trail, there are these giant patches of blueberries (also some bilberries).

I guess the birds must leave them alone for some reason, and other people may assume they aren't supposed to pick them or something.

Allright, I think I'm expanding to 6x mixed salad greens, staggered in planting. Or at least as mnay pots/troughs as I have left. So much better than supermarket swill

Quickie — I’m navigating and She’s driving— Back and Forth from IA to IL and Back on I-80; TMI on Why — superb farm views —

Both states are mowing and land-scaling smartly. Since my Wife said told me not to destroy, but trim, certain milk type weeds, Monarch butterflies, we’ve seen countless plots of beautiful ‘weeds’, gorgeous ditches, semi-dry wetlands if you will.

i don't do a lot of weeding. tomatoes grow just fine anyway. i do have a fence around it to keep the rabbits from eating too much produce, though.

What I’m learning is just how beautiful ‘some’ of these ‘weeds’ are.

For without these weeds, we don’t have gorgeous butterflies 🦋 and such.

Eggplant x4 Boxed on porch.
Onions x6
Celery x6
Tomatoes x3 +2 hanging tomato pots on porch.
Heads of Lettuce x3
Peppers: Banana, Bell, Jalapeno, Sweet cherry. x2 each

Small patches for Basil Chives, with some Thyme in it's own box.
Which subsequently was painted blue and named the Tardis by my oldest nephew...

I have some fruit trees as well that, like my eggplants. Haven't been doing well with how the weather is staying.

I'm thinking of dropping them and doing some Mint, or Oregano since the box is big enough.
