I am very fortunate. I live in Western WA. We have, in my opinion the best local strawberries, raspberries and blueberries. And our cherries, apricots, nectarines and peaches are also the best. They are bold and beautiful and unfortunately, the season is short.

Fall is the best time for local fruit here in NY (apples for DAYS). My lady's sister lives near Pittsburgh, which gets a ton of great produce this time of year, so she sends some stuff up when she gets the chance. Plus we have a top-notch farmer's market where I live.

Late spring, early summer is always the best time for making great salads and fruit concoctions with fresh produce. Love this time of year.

Are the Strawberries good this year?

...depends on the fruit and the locality in which it's found.

Mmmmm......Minnesota Honeycrisp Apples! Usually harvest is from mid Sep to early Oct.

I live in wine country, so September is great. We have the harvest (that we call les vendanges here) and a lot of festivals and wine tastings happen during that period.
We mostly have Pinot Noir here, but also special local grapes like "Arvine". A sweet white wine with a salty finish.

Damn, I need a glass now.

I now live in the tropics, so all the bananas and mangoes are so sweet here all year around its like a mouthful of sugared honey with every bite.
