McD's Greatest Invention/Food

If pancake buns with syrup nuggets doesnt excite your taste buds then there is nothing that will tempt your gutter palate

THe problem might be that even as the smallest of boys I was eating real maple syrup, because my Grandpa Crozier made it every year in his sugar shack next to the pond in the way back of his farm in Michigan.

I dont really eat pancake goo.

So I have been in the Christmas Spirit for a few hours now, and frankly I am a little Christmased out, watching the old version of Miracle on 34th Street tomorrow, which I own, might help but that is then and this is now....

I think it has to come down to either the Egg McMuffin or the Big Mac ( It could have been the beef fat fries but they killed that product so **** them), and since I never make Big Macs at home but very often make Egg McMuffins, and Sausage McMuffins I think I know what I have to do here.

I have to go with the Big Mac. I get a craving for it 2-3 times a year, and when I do nothing else will satisfy that craving. It has to be a Big Mac, not somebody else's knock-off.

They had a "Grand Mac" a few months ago as a limited-time promotion that was essentially a double-size Big Mac. I had one, it was awesome.

The Egg McMuffin is iconic, but I don't like the way they do their eggs.

I like it, but it's way overpriced. It's a $2 sandwich, nothing more.

Well then I have long said much the same thing about the Big Mac, which at one point was something like $4.65 sandwich only, rarely discounted. With as little meat as they put in there...

The Exit. The "food" is appalling and too often has given me the runs when I ate it in my youth.

Cheers.

  • Indoor seating (1950s)
  • Drive-through window (1970s) -- McDonald's didn't invent it; McDonald's made it "a thing."
  • Adding breakfast to the menu (1980s)
  • Adding play areas (late 1980s)
  • Redesign of the kitchens (1990s)
  • Self-service kiosk (2004)

It was clearly the McDLT

The egg and sausage McMuffin.

But clearly the patrons who live in America are missing out on some really good stuff they have overseas.
