I recently tried Kashi's Go Lean cereal. It has 9 grams of protein, and a bunch of healthy looking ingredients, so I gave it a go. The cereal tasted so good that I had 2 bowls for breakfast, followed later by a bowl before I went to bed as a snack.

Next morning, my farts literally woke me up. I thought the gardening crew was outside using the chainsaw to prune more trees. Bbbrrrrrrpp.

I've heard of people using colon cleansers, which supposedly consists of drinking several green drinks over many hours. They're wasting their time. Just eat a few bowls of Kashi, and you will not be able to stay away from the toilet for longer than 30 minutes at a time.

Wow...That will teach you to go slow on the healthy stuff.

Stick with nachos before bed, and at least one beer.

:2wave:

Oh dear!

That actually sounds like Candida die-off symptoms, but I'm not sure what Kashi would have in it to cause that. Candida die-off is common when you eat things like a whole bowl of sauerkraut that goes to work removing excess yeast from your digestive system. Same symptoms, but they eventually subside as the yeast balances.

If Kashi contains probiotics, it could happen because you ate quite a bit and your gut wasn't ready.

Interesting, but I don't think I'm going to repeat the experiment any time soon.

Or get a cheap box of raisan bran

If you're used to eating the same that garbage most Americans eat, myself included, you'll find that too much of something too healthy will wreak havoc upon your bowels in the short run. Much like with excercise, improving your diet can go very badly if it's a sudden, drastic change. Fortunately, your guts will adjust far more quickly than your muscles will, so it won't take very long for you to get used to that kind of fancy organic stuff.

Go easy with that stuff, and gradually cut the garbage out of your diet if you want to go all-out with a super healthy lifestyle.

Kashi always tasted like cardboard to me.

Try a kale smoothy with apples. Wow.

Thanks, that must be it, because the cereal has probiotics and my diet has been kind of crappy lately.

I've recently taken to the Kashi Dark Cocoa Karma Breakfast Cereal as a high-fiber snack.

It's freakin' delicious, and I can confirm it keeps things moving.

Heh. I love the stuff, but then I only eat one serving of it a day.

Good idea. Anymore than one bowl a day, and it's..

You want a colon cleanse have some New England boiled dinner with lots of vinegar and cabbage... You'll be shooting off the pot like the Coyote in the Road Runner cartoon

During a bowl of Alph-A-Bits I tried endlessly to find the letters to spell my name until my wife said the cereal was Cheerios.
