Pre heat oven to 350
Rub oil or butter on a square baking dish-meat loaf type for two sandwiches. Do this because on my first try I did not do it and it all stuck like glue to the dish
Peal the crust off four pieces of bread and lay two slices in to the baking dish.
Lay some ham slices and cheese or ground sausage on top of the bread(use anything you want here-you are making a sandwich!).
Place the other two slices on top making two sandwiches.
Beat two large eggs and mix with 3/4 cup milk and a little salt then pour evenly over the two sandwiches. The egg/milk ratio is critical as too much milk will make it soggy.
Bake for 40-45 minutes.

Quick and easy and open for variation of ingredients.

Forgot to add let the dish sit in the fridge for one hour before putting in the oven.

It looks like two French toast sandwiches
