I was at the mall looking at computer stuff when I ran into the ubiquitous Dairy Queen outlet. My son kept begging me so I gave in and bought a blizzard cake. What kind of food made you give in to temptation/impulse? Tell us about it.

There's this Mexican restaurant called La Cabana up in Cochran with food so good (for a town with a few thousand residents and a college, at least) that they can afford to be their own competition by operating a smaller La Cabana about five minutes down the street.

Anyway, La Cabana has some of the best salsa I've had in my life. I have decided against every other restaurant in that town in favor of the free chips & salsa that comes with their foods at least once.

Chick-fil-a. That stuff has to have some sort of crack in it.

Great.

Not content with having to deal with your own temptations. You now see fit to force us to deal with your temptation as well...visually. A description would have sufficed...there was no need to go and show the temptation in question.

Thank loads buddy.

What time does DQ open anyway?

;)

Edit...the nearest DQ opens at 10 a.m. But there is one a little ways out that opens at 9 a.m.. If I go there, buy a bloody cake, come home and eat some of it...that should give me enough time to start work online (I begin at about 11 a.m.).
I guess I know what lunch and supper will be...the rest of that bloody DQ cake.

Dark chocolate. Every damn time!

Around the Holidays, egg nog and Aunt Annie's Pretzels found in most airports/malls! Crispy Creme doughnuts when they first come off the conveyor belt!

Me?

When it's not DQ cakes...it's...

It's REALLY hard to find though.

Caramel Frappuccinos, I swear they put crack in them because I am constantly tempted by those.

I'm a sucker for tiramisu, 600 cal per slice. I've been able to lay off of it for a while though.

I am in luck...apparently these cakes need a lead time to make them around here - at least two days.

Thank goodness.

If I cannot have it NOW...forget it.

Yeah......

There was an Italian Chain called Zio's that is out of business in may area, but they have a
Artichoke Spinach Pasta with chicken, that was fabulous.
Of course it also have enough calories to meet my complete daily requirement.

I was at the local farmers market, and one stall holder had these adorable crimson candles, and I thought they would go well with the goat I had recently purchased, so I buy them and take them home. Next thing you know I'm down in my basement, there's blood up to my elbows and I've summoned a Cthonic deity from beyond the curtains of time.

Yeah......

Come on, you know you want it. Call them and place an order. You only live once... ;)

I can resist any food temptation, but the most difficult are German chocolate cakes. I really do like them.

And I'm thankful there isn't a DQ near me!

Anything smoked...I'm a Kraut, so...ya, I can't really help myself at all around smoked meat / cheese / fish / nuts ... And Baby Ruth chocolate bars...can't get them up here, so I always make sure anyone going across the border brings me back a few.

But, ya, that cake looks like an instant cave for me, too, so...hehe... Nice.

Almost any kind of cheesecake from The Cheesecake Factory.

There was a cake I had every birthday similar to the one pictured. It was pure heaven and the rest of my family generously took only small slices so I could eat the rest.
