Favorite Cold Cuts

Pickle & pimento loaf

I have a weakness for delis, and there are times I get a craving to make my own sandwiches so I usually buy the cold cuts by the slice and bring them home to make a sandwich.

My current favorites are turkey ham or pastrami, with some dijon or hot mustard, mayo, lettuce and tomato on whole wheat- I dont buy cheese a lot because its pretty expensive over here. I like pepperoni too, but I prefer to eat them plain, without the bread. Could anyone recommend other types?

Pastrami is always my #1.

A good roast beef is #2.

I also like to combine ham and turkey in a deli sandwich. That's a nice combo.

I do NOT like ham and/or turkey combined with roast beef. I see that in a lot of places and they don't mix well, IMO.

Going a little OT, but a hamburger with ham on top is good, too.

I also like prosciutto and serrano ham, but they are much too stringy to be used on sandwiches. If you place the denser stuff on sandwich bread, it will break the whole thing apart when you try to chew through them and the meaty bits stay together.
