A nice ham with Limburger from Germany, capers, onions, a top quality red pepper, Inglehoffer Stone Ground and Beaver Deli Horseradish Sammie.

You?

Limburger?

Yow!

Heavy stuff! I recently visited the last domestic cheese house yet producing Limburger here in the States. Pretty much no one in the States is buying the stuff anymore, apparently

I was tormented as a kid and decided that living well is the best revenge.

I also lived 3 years in Munchen and three in Darmstadt.

So you know...

Plus: My dad was addicted to Liederkranz...before the fire of course.

It is perfect but for the bread....I used Orowheat Old Fashioned White and nuked it for a minute to warm up the ham. The bread is slightly soggy. Next time I toast it. Live and learn., trial and error....Like Trump!

Capers on a sammie is a very nice touch, I'll bet I have not done that a half dozen times in my life.

Probably not even Three!

I though the classic Limburger sandwich had mustard and onions on rye?

^^

Kinda' like liver sausage ...

No where near as fancy but frozen blueberries with a little milk poured on them.

Sometimes I fire up my deep frier and make some French fries.

It's rare that I make a midnight snack though

You?

That sounds like it might keep you happy.

Me?When we were chatting earlier, I was thinking more along the lines of breakfast.

The hyphen that the OP put in midnight is really bugging me.

I never eat after dinner.

I'd seriously lay off that kind of stuff at that sort of hour. That entire sandwich is going straight to your waistline and your pericardial arteries, unless of course that midnight snack follows a midnight 5-mile run.

for mid night!

dried nuts ,red berries ,avvocado ,cucumber and a little cheese!

If I'm eating after midnight it's because I just left the bar and you know I am not about to make any good choices at that point.

Sounds yummy but, not for midnight snack.

Same. But I do make exceptions when my friends decide to go bar hopping. You can drink more if you have food in your stomach. I usually grab what's on the bar menu.

I haven't bar hopped in years. But, yeah, that would be an exception.

Do you work for The Daily Planet newspaper?

All the best cheese is either blue or stinky.

Went to a Shakespeare in the Park event in Dallas last year, totally open air picnicing with Much Ado About Nothing, and opened up a wonderful Tilsit from Denmark.

I was forced by the others in my party to either eat the whole thing are seal it up and put it back in the car. It was THAT pungent.

Ate the whole thing w/out regret.

No, but I was a paper boy for 5.5 years, and my dad worked for a newspaper for 15 years.

And I just love to talk about cooking and eating and drinking, out side of sex and learning it is my favorite thing.

Have you any more questions because I am here for you.

Well that is a little far out but yes, I dont understand the point of eating cheese if it does not have any flavor with the partial exception of on pizza, and even then there should be more than no flavor mozzarella.

Can cheese on Jalapeno flavor Kettle chips.

Man, it's out of sight!
