Mid-Night Snack

This was great....1/3 lb frozen burger patty with bacon and cheese chopped up inside (dont ask, the little woman bough em, on coupon no less!) on a warm english muffin which has on one side good mayo and Beaverton horshradish and on the on the the other that same fine mayo and thin sliced onion. Burger had been dusted on one side with Creole seasoning and the other with El Goucho Seasoning (Seattle steak place and event planning specialists, sons sexy GF works there in management) on the other.

YUM!

Brings to mind when gorgeous daughter Jordan sat on the stoop of our place on the Presidio of Monterey Annex when she was 6.......it was a warm day......and as she sucked on her popsicle turned to me as I was standing behind her in the doorway and said "THIS IS THE LIFE DADDY!".

Good food never gets old.

Pre-Fab corn taquitos, heated till crisp...over that commercial salsa then shredded sharp cheddar, then your fav hot sauce then onions then fresh chopped jalapenos...heat till all melty then topped with sour cream....a real one if you dont mind..

Yes. Please!

Grilled Cheese and Onion Panini, cheese leftover from a cheese and meat tray at the reunion.

Tastes every bit as good as it sounds.

I keep my svelte figure by not having midnight snacks.

Quesadilla: two flour tortillas fried in EVO stuffed with 4 cheese mexi blend onion and jalapeno ......topped with good sour cream smeared all over and a healthy dose of Tabasco chipotle Flavor.

A nice ham with Limburger from Germany, capers, onions, a top quality red pepper, Inglehoffer Stone Ground and Beaver Deli Horseradish Sammie.

You?

I drool with envy,
for 'tis naught in the 'fridge
but some shaved ham
and a bit of Swiss.

I had street tacos for lunch. Three al pastor, two chorizo y pollo, with chopped onion and cilantro, and your choice of salsa (all of them hot as lava). I used a bit of chipotle and some rojas, sparingly and with caution. :)

Always a big hit around here...fast, easy, cheap, change it up to what ever sounds good at the moment. It is very rare anymore that I dont have corn tortillas in the house both for this a fresh fried chips (a big fav with the wife).

That sounds so darn good but I would go a little milder in the heat.

the only way to go mild at that place is to just wave your tacos OVER the salsa. Be careful not to actually get too close. :)

Vanilla ice cream with homemade pistachio walnut baklava smashed into it with a spoon.

This is amazing...I took the sugar down 1/3 and used no water or sugar just honey....I saw recipes calling for 2 cups of water, which is nuts.

It is not just the flavor here, but the texture too....just perfect.

Egg Nog Milk Shake

50/50 blend Dairygold Old Fashioned Egg Nog and Dryers Vanilla Ice Cream.

Nearly as good as sex I tell YA...

Garlic Bologna sandwich...otherwise a bowl of Raisin Bran.
You can eat cereal at anytime.

As of late, it has been banana and peanut butter on toasted pane...

Damn they are good...

Commercial chicken strips and fries done in the oven, served with garlic aioli and those most excellent Trappey's peppers.

Me and my crazy hours you know.....

A little early but I only had a taste for dinner:

Chili Dip made with Kroger can chili, half a small tomato that was two days old and getting ripe, 2 oz cream cheese, a tad of flour and some spices....to which I added some chopped Trappey's peppers (awesomeness).

Using Doritos Nacho cheese....still remember how we ate so many taco chips when I was a boy, they were brand new, and my parents sure loved em.

Salmon cake street tacos including some deep fried jalapeno from the Mayan the other night.

This is really good, and really off the reservation.

Kroger Chili with Beans, a bit of goat cheese that was 6 weeks over date (RIPE!), cream cheese, fresh jalapeno and crushed Chez-Its.

You guys have got this all wrong. This is why a man grows a mustache. Keep leftovers from dinner in the mustache, just lick upwards when you get the midnight munchies, and you don't have to get out of bed.

Cherry vanilla ice cream commercial chocolate milk (Dairygold Old Fashioned) float with a diet A&W Root Beer chaser.
