Is it "smug" to pronounce "chorizo," "croissant" and "latte" correctly?

I am rusty on my Spanish but I thought that Castilian Spanish is different from Catalonian Spanish (and other differences by region and former Spanish colonies).
And I apologize for say "rusty" if that is some colloquial Americanism that is unknown.

But it's "wok-a-mole-eh" and "hala-pain-yo." :mrgreen:

I think the hala-pain-yo is how everyone in the country and south of this country pronounces jalapeno, only ones I have seen saying it otherwise are from the northeast or canada. Now for the rest of it I really do not care how it is pronounced, I say chorizo just how it is spelled, and have not heard a word from any mexican complaining.

Of course if you ever just explain to someone what chorizo is made of, the argument might end as the knowledge may make them never want to eat or think about it again. Hint for most chorizo it is similar to what goes into cheap hotdogs minus the grain fillers.
