Let's say, speaking totally hypothetically, that on the way home from work you decided you needed to cook a pot of chili. You stopped at the grocery store and couldn't remember what you had in your spice cabinet. You then stood in front of the spice rack and had a massive brain fart. You knew that the spice you might need started with a "C" but couldn't remember what it was to save your life. Finally you just grabbed a jar of Cardamom and a jar of Coriander. When you got home you discovered that it was Cumin that you needed but, thankfully, you had plenty of that already.

So now you're sitting there with damned near $20 worth of Cardamom and you figure you really should use it but you have no idea what to use it in. If all that was the case, and speaking completely hypothetically, what would you use the Cardamom for?

I have never heard of it, but there seem to be a lot of recipes that use it.

Greetings. Lutherf. :2wave:

I use it when making lentil soup, which not only tastes good, but it's good for you, too!

Love Cardamom...and Coriander....and Cumin.

Some Indian curries use Cardamom, I actually came about it when homebrewing.

I find that it goes well with recipes that use cinnamon and clove as well with gords.

I often use it in conjunction with cumin and coriander...
