Peeps Oreos

LOL, I didn't look at the forum and clicked on the thread title thinking it was some kind of racist flap. My bad. :)

But as for the Oreos themselves, I love the Oreo brand and will probably try a lot of if not all of the flavors.

Ten-15 years ago--whenever I last subscribed to a paper newspaper--I read a study contrasting how men and women eat Oreos. I don't remember now who were the dunkers vs the twisters but do remember that women from the South and men from the North ate their Oreos the same way while men from the South and women from the North did too.

But here's another study on how addictive Oreos are: https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2013/10/131015123341.htm

Somebody ought to do a DP poll. I'd love to learn who the twisters/lickers are vs the dunkers. Only one way is correct, of course.

Well, I don't think I have ever dunked an Oreo or would because the stuff on the inside is my favorite part and I wouldn't want to dissolve it. I do dismantle my oreos sometimes but I don't think I twist? Dang, now I have to go buy some oreos to see how I eat them. :)

Oreos get twisted and the "stuff" gets licked out before the cookie gets eaten. If you do it some other way you're just doing it wrong and should hang out with the people who put toilet paper on the roll so that it hangs off from underneath.

Ann Landers (for those who don't recognize the name, the advice columnist and twin sister of Dear Abby) cared so much about the direction of the roll of TP that she published (and later republished, so important was this issue to her!) an article on the correct way and admitted that when she was a guest in someone's home and discovered the roll was wrong, she'd change it to the correct way.

I've been studying this for a long time, and about 50% of the population is over-and-down while 50% are under and up (because the roll stays more hygienic, they say), which is just WRONG. Really, I should've written Ann Landers while she was still alive.

Hmmmpf, no surprise then that you do Oreos wrong too!

Mom is an up from under person and I change her roll when I visit just to annoy her.

How is it that you can get yout TP right but your Oreos wrong? That just doesn't make sense.

Do you eat your corn like a typewriter or around in circles? Maybe the answer to this will clear things up.

Ive hated oreos since I was a kid. There's just something disgusting about them, the filling tastes like sweetened chemical foam and the cookie is like granulated dirt. :2sick1:

LOL. Like Ann Landers, what little OCD I have kicks in with the TP and I too reposition the roll in people's houses. There isn't much pattern toilet paper available these days but what there used to be and occasionally still is puts the pattern on the outside of the roll so that it shows over and down. That should tell us how the manufacturers intend the TP roll to be hung.

As for Oreos, how people eat them doesn't bother me, though I appreciate the dismantle the cookie crowd more so I don't have to feel self conscious when I do that.

I feel so much better about myself after reading this. I would never change other people's TP rolls' directions; I'd just judge them harshly as "one of those people" forever.

:lamo

There are claims they stain toilet bowls too. I don't know about that, but this Red Dye #3/whatever is potent.
