GermanDeli.com | Authentic German Meats and Groceries

just ordered from this place, got in my order... everything looks fresh, as ordered. All of it looks authentically "made in Germany". And, the prices are reasonable, even the shipping! Considering I can't get a lot of these items at my grocery store, I figure it's worth the extra few bucks. Also some of the things I CAN get at my local store, cost more. So, for that, I'm gonna shop here a few times and report back if it's worth or not worth the time. So far, looks great!

The shop looks good. Did you order the Maultaschen? I love them in a neat broth or fried in butter with crisp bacon chips and scrambled eggs.

I assume there's no decent German Deli in your city?

They used to be ubiquitous in my neck of the woods. They're still around, but fewer in number it seems.

BTW - German bakeries kick ass, as well!

Not near where I am, I could head out to Fredericksburg or the like, but that's an hour away.

Of course if you're in need of a quick Reuben, there's always the Jewish delis! ;)

There's a few European delis in my area. Great but expensive since everything is imported.
