Glad to hear that, I've just started using them about a month ago from recommendations of other posters. Can you be more specific on how they make you feel good?
Chias are not meant to be eaten:

Now that's the sign of success right there... a chia-you.Chias are not meant to be eaten:
Yeeeech. I'd rather eat chopped tires.
Good morning, humbolt. :2wave:
Well, for what it's worth, white chia seeds will NOT remind you of tires, :lamo and they are an excellent source of protein when used in making bread and other baked goods like cookies and strudel, which I'm starting to bake this week, and no one will even know they're there!

Hi Polgara! *hug*
What's the difference between the black and white seeds?
Very little, if any, nutrition wise. As I have mentioned previously, one of my daughters has a Masters Degree in Nutrition, and it was her suggestion that I start eating chia seeds wherever I could, since they are such an excellent source of non-animal protein. Since I know she knows what she's talking about, I always follow her recommendations, and I bought both black and white seeds. I soon decided I wasn't going to use the black seeds in baking bread, biscuits, or light colored cookies, etc, since they looked too much like insect parts to me, even though I know they aren't! Yuck! I don't like poppyseeds for the same reason, plus I just plain don't like the taste of those seeds.
Anyway, I'm starting my Christmas baking, and a tiny bit of white chia seeds will go into the strudels, Kiefels (nut rolls) Kolache (fruit paste filling)and other Slovak pastries my grandmother taught me to make a long time ago - that my family waits for every Christmas! I love this time of year for the memories they bring...
I also bake choc chip and other "American" cookies, too, since they're easy
