Stephen Hawking Reveals Simple Formula For Tackling Obesity, Adding ‘It’s Not Rocket Science’

Professor Stephen Hawking is campaigning for people to tackle obesity before it’s too late.

In a new advert for Swedish non-profit GEN-PEP, the British cosmologist and physicist says that humanity faces a major challenge and “millions of lives are in danger”.

He adds that obesity is now one of the most serious public health problems of the 21st century, but believes the solution to tackling it is simple.

We need to take part in more physical activity and change our diets, he suggests, before adding: “It’s not rocket science.”

Hawking is speaking through a machine. How do we know it's really him that's talking and not someone that's hacked into his voice synthesizer?

Actually he is for the disease he has. You might not be informed enough to to know, but his condition isn't because of diet or exercise.

I was simply pointing out the obvious, that someone who has to have around the clock care for the past 30 years doesn't exactly know what's it's like to have a routine diet or exercise for the average person.

He can only dream of having the freedom to have a healthy body to take care of, while he watches others squander it.

Hawking had no medical training and is no more useful for nutritional information than my neighbor's dog.
