McDonalds is going to offer a smaller BM (BM Jr.) and a larger BM (The Grand Mac). according to thee latest Time Magazine. Next to the fish filet the BM is my fav.

My 2 cents: stay out of the cheap chains like McD and BK.

If you have an Elevation Burger nearby, they are terrific.

Where does one buy an elevation burger?

McDonalds is to hamburgers what Ripple was to wine.

Btw, I have heard that what McD sells in Japan is better than what they sell here.

I have eaten at a McD in Italy, and it was a lot better than the crap they sell here.

I know, what was I doing in a McD's in Italy. I was riding my bicycle across Italy with Ciclismo Classico. We (the wife and I) were lost and hungry. So we stopped as soon as we found a place to stop.

The dinner that night was mind blowing good, one of the 5 best meals I've ever had. I've been to Italy twice, it's worth it.

What I've never understood is how somebody can finish a Big Mac. It's too much.

My son used to work at McDs and there are already "off the menu" items that you can order. They'll put pretty much as many patties on a burger as you want. So you could walk into a McDs today and order a Big Mac with double meat and get the "Grand Mac".

Does anyone else wonder what's in those mass production really cheap meat patties besides beef? Neither McD or BK burgers smell right.

I would think that should be something in American McDonald's instead of Japanese McDonald's. Because I would think there would be more of a market for that in the US seeing how we most likely have a higher obesity rate and height and size wise Americans are bigger.

The fastfood giants in Japan have got plenty of zany stuff in their menus, I think its because the locals see these places as novelties so they serve fancy meals. BK in Japan has got something called the black ninja burger- its got a black bun and black cheese.

My 2 cents, get some beef from your local supermarket and grill yourself some burgers. They'll end up much better quality (grillin aint hard) and you probably won't spend anymore than you would getting some pink slime BM (then again, the OP likes that stuff).

Mom would buy sirloin and grind it at home. We don't always do that, but beef starts to oxidise the second it's ground. Although if you are going to grill, you want something with more fat.

I got a standing ovation in an all you can eat restaurant once.

Long time ago, when I was a backpacker. You can't carry enough food, so when you get back to civilisation, you pig out. I had 3 meals and took a dinner plate and put cake on it, ice cream, hot fudge, nuts and jimmies.

The times Ive been to Europe Ive always made it a point to eat local food- time is too short to waste it on a McD when there is so much good local stuff around over there. I can always eat at a fastfood place when I return.

You must've had an incredible metabolism.

I've seen teenaged boys eat stupendous quantities of food, so a new "Grand"-sized Big Mac (certainly couldn't say "King-sized" ) will be a big hit, I'll bet.

i like Big Macs. i also liked the Angus Deluxe, but it was just too many calories for me to get it more than once in a blue moon. great burger, though.

I've spent several months in Europe, and I agree completely. However, we had ridden our bicycles about 60 miles, and were tired, hungry and lost.

I would be more impressed had McD's said that they are launching a huge restructuring to bring the ongoing performance of the stores back to where they were in the 80's....that is to say that they were recommitting to making every Big Mac correctly.

Because that is the problem.
