Benefit 1Since meat contains a large amount of protein, this could be beneficial to the body as the need for protein is an important one for the body. Since protein is said to improve the overall health and well-being of one’s body, there are other benefits such as the repair and building of body tissues as well as the production of antibodies that will protect the body from infections, thus strengthening the immune system as well. Most importantly, since meat contains all the essential amino acids, it definitely ranks as one of the best sources of protein.
Benefit 2Of the many nutrients that meat contains, it is rich in iron, zinc and selenium. While iron helps in forming hemoglobin that transports oxygen to different parts of your body, zinc helps in tissue formation and metabolism as well as selenium breaks down the fat and chemicals in the body.
Benefit 3Vitamins are also a big part of the one’s diet, and Vitamin A, B and D are commonly found in meat as well. Not only do these vitamins promote good vision, stronger teeth and bones but it also support the central nervous system thus promoting mental health as well. Another big benefit of eating meat is the maintenance of your skin’s health.

Yup. It's either grass-fed from my good friends at Rangeland in Paso Robles, CA, or it's game that I hunt myself. Pig, turkey, etc...

The cruelty involved in industrial meat processing is absolutely beyond belief; I will never support it with a purchase.

You forgot Benefit 4: incredibly versatile and usually quite tasty.

If god didn't want us to eat meat, then he wouldn't have made it taste like meat.

Benefit 7: It keeps vegans away while you're trying to enjoy a nice meal

The real benefit to veganism is that the more vegans there are the more meat for the rest of us.

On the protein question - Most people need more protein than they realize. The government recommendation of .8gm per kg of bodyweight works for someone who's sedentary but if you are at all active you need more. Lots more. I was up around 2.5gm per kilogram when I was actively weightlifting - 275gm of protein for my then 250 lb bodyweight. It is completely impossible to get that much protein from non meat sources. Even with guzzling all the milk mixed with whey protein I could stand I still had to eat lots of meant and there's only so much tuna and chicken you can stand before puking.
