What foods do you hate the smell of, but love the taste?

Scrub fed beef. Used to get beef fresh from the slaughter that had been raised on Florida scrub rather than grass or corn. Smelled rotten when cooking, Tasted great as a burger.

Yep, fresh beef stinks. We used to get fresh meat in Tijuana sometimes when i was a kid. Along with some other groceries and baked goods, because it was dirt cheap. But the meat tasted just fine.

Man, that brings back memories of pan de huevo and bunuelos. Yum.

Brussels sprouts, cauliflower and cabbage when they are cooking.

These foods should only be given to cattle.

Cabbage made into sauerkraut and applied to a Reuben sammie is acceptable.

Chitlins.... omg they smell simply horendous.

Seafood is life to me, yet sometimes the smell can put me off to the point where I have to hold my breath every time I take a bite. I expect it has to do with freshness and preparation rather than seafood itself.

Another such food item is eggs. I have such a complicated relationship with eggs; I love them in every way possible and they're an excellent breakfast item and a versatile ingredient, but they often emanate a smell that I find absolutely fowl. I have a working theory that it might have to do with the feed the laying chicken received.

With cattle intestines, it comes down to how thoroughly cleaned they are. Being part of the digestive system of the animal, only rigorous cleaning will entirely remove that stench from them. You can clean intestines enough so as to be safe for human consumption, but unless you commit yourself to such rigorous cleaning process, they'll maintain that smell.

maybe a couple of cheeses, but if they're really rancid smelling, i can barely convince myself that the taste is good. i mean, if it smells like stinky feet mixed with vomit, there's a reason for that. when i tried really smelly cheese for the first time, i considered how brave the first person who ate that **** was.

I can't really think of anything that I would eat that smells horrible.

Food smells that I hate --- coffee (I know, weird), sauerkraut, Dr. Pepper

collard greens

What foods do you hate the smell of when it's cooking, but love the taste of when it's all done?

I know smell and taste are connected quite literally, but is there anything that fits into the above question?
The opposite: Cantaloupe.

Smells wonderful. Smells so fresh. Is not horrible in taste, but just don't like it.
