What's your favorite Deli meat?

Saute up some onions in butter and white wine. When soft, throw in a few slices of rare roast beef and a couple slices of sharp Provolone. Either plate it as is of put it in a hoagie roll. I LOVE a good cheese steak!

#1) That's not a cheese steak.

#2) When he said grill I thought:

If you can find it in your area, I HIGHLY recommend Molinari brand salami. You can order it online if it's not available. That stuff is about as close to northern Italian salami as I've ever had here.

Bohr's Head Turkey.

Boar's Head anything is about the best deli meat and cheese you'll be able to easily find. Their smoked turkey is excellent and their smoked gouda is awesome.

Usually sliced smoked or peppered turkey breast.

When we feel occasionally rich, pastrami to add to rye bread and Swiss cheese!

Boars Head, any variety but honey ham is my favorite and liverwurst.

Make your own... It's not that hard to do. I make my own ham by curing pork cushions for a week and then smoking them for about 6 hours. You can do the same thing with a beef sirloin roast. It's incredibly simple to do and if have an inexpensive meat slicer (I paid $40 for mine and I've run 100 of lbs. of meat through it), slicing it is a breeze. Right now, I've got almost 12 lbs. of pork curing in my fridge. Saturday it will go in the smoker and after church Sunday, I'll slice and vac. seal it. All told I'll have about 2 hours of effort into making 11 lbs. of ham that's VASTLY better (and cheaper, after all the costs associate with it, I'm well under $2.00/lb) than the stuff you buy in the store.

Hard salami, provolone, spicy mustard on crusty Italian, fantastic sandwich.

I like salami by itself- too hard to chew on a sandwich. I just slice it on a plate along with some cheese, olives and red wine when entertaining guests in the house.

If you brewed your own beer, you might be the perfect neighbor.
