Looks good, wish i could buy some

Eye of the beholder, I guess.

Then again I love eggplant, which can appear pretty funky.

I used to hate eggplant, because my mom was such a horrible cook. She would just steam them until they got all gooey and then serve them to me. Things got better when I ate eggplant parmigiana and moussaka at restaurants.

There ya' go!

My mom's So Italian heritage (Calabrese), so we grew-up with a lot of eggplant. But it's usually one of those things I find that's often best fried, as it is in the Parmigiana.

But there a great Sicilian eggplant (and olives) spread called "caponata", that's great - even if it isn't fried!

The stuff I'm familiar with looks just like this:

(eat it on toasted bread slices - wish I had some now!)

Sounds like one of those fruits that cant stand the shipping, so I will never see one unless I what too spend a **** ton of money, which I dont, so this thread is a waste of my time.

Have I properly evaluated the situation?
