I had to go with "other".

That stuff might be okay for others, but for me, it is classified as "heart stopper".

Food sitting on a shelf isn't inherently unhealthy. Human behavior is healthy or unhealthy. If that's all someone ate every day or at large quantities, yeah it would be unhealthy.

I'm a meat eater but I don't personally like cured meats all that much because they are usually loaded with chemicals and their nutrition profile is lower. I find they give me crazy gas.

That said I don't eat a lot of fruit either, except for berries. Fruit is mostly sugar so what's the point. Veggies and organic grass fed meats or wild fish are better, along with nuts. Really on a nut butter kick lately because our farmer's market had a sale recently, yum yum

at least admit it....................

you may like hot dog ,but it is unhealthy!

I don't like hot dogs. If you eat too many it's unhealthy but hot dogs are not inherently unhealthy.

not true. also a lot of vitamins and fiber in fruit.

Glucose, not the sugar that you put in your coffee.

It all ends up doing the same work in our body, the all the sugars and the starches. The only thing left to eat is fat and protein, and 40 years of claiming that fat is bad for us has people megadosing on protein, which is proven to be bad for our bodies because breaking the protein down is hard on our organs.

Eat a little of everything that you like, try to like a wide variety of things, and go on and do something productive. This obsession with the current myths of healthy eating is a huge time and energy suck, and very likely counter productive with our health based upon recent history. We are more unhealthy than we were when Jim Fixx dropped dead, all that time since we have been altering our diet constantly, and been worrying about what we eat constantly, we are at the point now where many people are afraid of their food.

Just stop.

most people don't just eat meat "on occasion". they eat a lot of it every day and even every meal. thanks for agreeing.

Greetings, Militant_Vegan. :2wave:

Moderation in all things is the best way to live, IMO, and that applies not only to diet, but everything else humans do, like sports, working at any outside job, farming, cleaning a house, and even sleeping too much will affect how you feel. Overdoing any of these things will eventually take its toll on your overall health, which does keep the medical profession too busy at times too!

"Eat what you like and let the food fight it out inside"-Mark Twain.

Or a bowl of Special K.

Ya, it is alarming how seriously the food minders have gotten taken for so long when so many of their arguments are clearly horse****.

Most of them I think are in serious need of a hobby, one that does not include trying to boss other people around.

Surely they can find a less abusive way to get their ego game fix.

Right?

really, chemicals over nature?? LOL

"If man MAKES it, don't eat it."

Rice, wheat gluten, sugar, defatted wheat germ, contains 2% or less of salt, whey, malt flavor, calcium caseinate. Vitamins and Minerals: Vitamin C (ascorbic acid), reduced iron, niacinamide, vitamin B6 (pyridoxine hydrochloride), vitamin B1 (thiamin hydrochloride), vitamin B2 (riboflavin), folic acid, vitamin A palmitate, vitamin B12, vitamin D3.

Calcium caseinate is a protein produced from casein in skim and sometimes 1% milk. At neutral or acid pH, casein is relatively insoluble in water, and is easily separated from other milk proteins, sugars and minerals. After their removal, the casein is solubilized at a high pH with calcium hydroxide; the solution is then dried (usually spray dried). Calcium caseinate contains about 17% glutamic acid.

What in Special K is bad for me?

why is raw fruit bad for you?

why is raw fruit bad for you?

THat is not the claim, the claim is that it is not particularly good for us, and that all those who claim that it is are either idiots or liars. The fact that the US government not only got aboard this idiocy but forced it upon our school lunchrooms is yet one more bullet point on the list for why this government needs to be reformed.

PRONTO.

Salad, raw fruits, grains and veggies don't need the disclaimer "in moderation"

that's because they actually are good for you

Sorry. But in order to maintain proper energy I have to eat meat. If I eat too much of that stuff I don't get the protein I need to grapple.

Once upon a time long ago I would eat a sweet piece of fruit while telling myself "at least I am not eating junk like chocolate".

Then it turned out according to science that chocolate is a likely "miracle food".

I am so glad that I wised up.
