Re: Domino's Pizza

haven't tried that in Chicago yet, though there are a couple places near where i live that are probably similar. any recommendations?

Vito and Nicks- but you'll probably not be near there.

Candlelight Bowl.
Barnabys.
Piece (plus it's a brewery!)

I think you need a jumbo meat-lovers pizza, my friend.

Double down on the meat!!

Re: Domino's Pizza

Oddly enough, it seems like some of the large chains have stepped up their game lately. I used to hate Dominos for a long time because it was tasteless cardboard but I had a piece while at a work thing a while back and it was pretty good. I mean, it's not going to beat your local joint in terms of flavor, but for the price it's a good deal.

Re: Domino's Pizza

Dominos pizza already sucks with meat, why would I want to try it without?

Re: Domino's Pizza

I wonder if many have ever even tried a veggie pizza from a good pizza place? they can be very satisfying. after all you still get the cheese, great crust and sauce. You also getting the meaty tastes of olives and mushrooms. Just try one.

I've had meatless pizza plenty of times. I prefer sausage on mine, but a good veggie pizza is quite tasty. Onions, garlic, green peppers, and olives. That's yummy all on its own.

My wife and I used to make a Greek veggie "pizza". Spread tzatziki sauce (you can use cream cheese with some lemon mixed into it as a quick substitute if you don't have or want to make some tzatziki) as the base, pile on tomatoes, cucumbers, feta, and some herbs, drizzle with olive oil, heat it up (over the grill is really nice!) and you got a tasty treat. Heck, now I want to make one of those sometime next week.

Heck, pizza is really a blank canvas. There are plenty of creative things you can do and call it pizza. Just had a buffalo pizza a few weeks ago. Buffalo sauce, chicken, cheddar and jack (I think) cheese, ranch dressing, and green onions. It was pretty good.

I agree but a Dominos pizza with or without meat is still a Dominos pizza.

I think that's more common with younger people, and that most people don't really start developing a sense of appreciation for better food until they age a bit.
