I was dead dog exhausted today - 3rd day in a row where I can't wake up, can't stop yawning, and can't focus. For me, given my health issues, it's a sign my body isn't getting enough vitamins and my circulation isn't in check. Phys activity and vitamins - heavy and steady vitamin amounts - is what I do to get through it. I used to fall back on caffeine, but having quit coffee and cut my tea to just one or two mugs a day (Earl Grey), I'm focusing 100% on vitamin intake and nothing else, this time.

So I was at the store looking over alternatives to energy drinks (brands like Monster, Rockstar, etc), and came across GT's brand Kombucha in the produce department. I bought the gingerberry flavor. After having read up on Kombucha I've decided to drink less than half the bottle in experimentation. I'm surprised I actually like the taste quite a bit. (recently I've looked for ginger flavored drinks other than soda - needing that good strong ginger-toke flavor).

Anyone else drink any brand or type of Kombucha?

Online people commented on the cost, but a 16oz bottle of this was cheaper than the fore mentioned energy drink brands.

Kombucha?? Never heard of it, but if you hum a few bars I'll try to sing along... :D

Eck! Energy drinks are poison. IMO. And nasty

I used to make kombucha from the mushroom. I enjoyed the flavor, like apple cider. Kind of effervescent too. I haven't tried any commercially prepared brands so I can't speak to that. Depending on the tea they use in the process, it's going to have caffeine. I made mine from black tea, as was suggested.

As I recall, it gave me a boost. My parents and a couple friends were into it as well. The time and care to prepare it ultimately caused all of us to give it up. :(

I did the last time me and the missus had a foodie trip to the Far East.
A lttle too sweet for my taste but Selena seemed to like it.
