Okay, so we eat lots of corn on the cob at our house. You?
A few weeks ago, Tom brought some home, shucked it and laid it out for supper. When I was ready to cook it, I asked him to do a better job removing the silk. WAIT FOR IT!
So he turns a stove burner on high and runs each one over the flame. Corn silk immediately incinerated. Yay!!
Oh, I'm always experimenting for the perfect and brainless way to COOK corn. Found it.
Use a great big pot, put in 2 or 2-1/2" of water. Cover. Bring to boil. Throw the corn in. Turn off the heat and let it sit there til dinner's ready. Perfect!
