According to a recent report by CBS New York, NFL player Duane Brown managed to have a suspension overturned by proving that he had eaten contaminated meat while in Mexico. Brown still had his receipts from various eateries in the country, and these were provided as evidence of why the player tested positive for clenbuterol.

Brown plays for the Houston Texans, and the NFL Players Association was fortunately able to prove to the league that the clenbuterol in his system came from consuming too much meat during his trip – around 10 burgers and two steaks. The league has also issued a warning to all players that consuming too much meat in countries such as China and Mexico could trigger a failed drug test.

Sweet! Now I don't need to take clenbuterol and eat meat. This totally saves time during my day!

One of the many reasons people (as opposed to politicians) are opposing TTIP is that we'd have to drop our meat standards to match America's. People in glass houses....

Wasn't it covered up in the USA? You won't find much BSE if you only test 40,000 of the 35 million cattle slaughtered every year. Mad cow is one of the reasons European beef is more strictly regulated. That and the fact that we hate moneyboosting drugs, hormones and antibiotics-riddled meat.

Mad cow was rampant in england and europe/ middle east because they used cow remains as a cheap source of protien for cows to make them bigger and fatter since they had a shortage of things like soy and corn. This led to rampant cases because most of the reused meat introduced to other cows was from the spinal area.

Canada as well practised the same thing, the us has had little issues because farming practises were far different, and brazil even less because most of their eating cows are slaughtered young, and grass fed while alive rather than using cheap protein sources.
