The Power of Plants: Why I Eat a Plant-Based Diet

you miss the point. more people, but more unhealthy people.

But not unhealthy enough to affect population growth in a significant way? Or are you saying that if we all ate what you consider a healthy diet there would be billions more humans on this planet?

Not forgetting the huge majestic herds of cows, sheep and pigs that would forever roam the endless grassy plains.

no. you should study more. healthy and well off people reproduce less. the single child or nuclear family is the norm over the huge amount of children poor people have.

^ Most of the obese in the United States are actually undernourished as well. Calorie dense, low nutrient diets do that. Not to mention all the pseudo-estrogens in the food which lead to that really watery-fat body type. Fat people in other parts of the world tend to have belly fat, like the typical pot belly. Americans tend to have endocrine problems (like type II diabetes) from all the fake crap in food, leading to that watery fat that covers the arms and legs as well. The problem comes from eating too much food that isn't even real food.

5. You’ll dramatically reduce your chances of getting type 2 diabetes.
An estimated 38% of Americans have prediabetes—a precursor to type 2 diabetes. Animal protein, especially red and processed meat, has been shown in study after study to increase the risk of type 2 diabetes. In the Adventist population, omnivores have double the rate of diabetes compared with vegans, even accounting for differences in body weight. In fact, in this population, eating meat once a week or more over a 17-year period increased the risk of diabetes by 74%! Similarly, in the Health Professionals Follow-up Study and Nurses Health Study, increasing red meat intake by more than just half a serving per day was associated with a 48% increased risk in diabetes over 4 years.
