Another Nation Trims Meat From Diet Advice

I never claimed a vegan said that.

I'm saying that's what causes the health maladies you're claiming are caused by meat, eggs, and butter, when that's not factually accurate. A vegan diet is not the only route to prevent cardiovascular disease or diabetes.

right. the other path is to live on meat and butter.

That's what my non-vegan diet does. Why does Militant Vegan keep posting the same thread?

doesn't need to be, but it can.

You'd have to search long and hard to find a person who lives exclusively on meat and butter. Another ridiculous non-answer from MV that avoided answering your point.

it's not that hard to find someone who doesn't eat meat and butter. think more and post less.

people should try both. live on your diet for a month or two, try a vegetarian diet for a month or two

someone can live on whatever diet they want, when they're paying for their food I don't care what they eat.

you pay for the obesity epidemic. everyone does.

I also pay when people misuse fireworks, cars, have sex and get STIs/unplanned pregnancy, everyone pays for things like that. you can't let that be the deciding factor in whose business you get involved in, that's part of living in a society.

why don't you want to make things better and people healthier?

Why are people getting so offended?

It's advice, not an edict from the emperor. You don't have to take it.

why don't you want to make things better and people healthier?

Because I don't care to "make" people do things they don't want to do that aren't directly hurting others. in fact I detest control freaks.

I don't get it either. People are taking the new trends in health and diet personally. If you want to eat 6 eggs and a half pound of bacon this morning, do it.

No one is making you do anything, sir.

Oh GOD, does anyone listen to these idiots who think they know what we should eat? The "experts" know almost nothing about general rules about what we should and should not eat, anyone who says different is lying. And boy to they lie, they have been telling us for 15 years that we can drink all the fruit juice we want because it is juice and is good for us. No, it is almost all sugar water, and when I drink sugar water I would rather have a soda TYVM, which has about the same affect on the body as juice does.

But hell, they lost me when they got me to switch to margarine during the early 80's then a half dozen years later come out with " oh wait, you were better off with butter". I like butter, I made the sacrifice, for nothing, because claims of knowledge from the elite turn out to false. As per usual they hardly even tried to find out what the truth was before they ran around claiming to know more than we do.

Now they say " DONT EAT MEAT!" because it is supposed to be tied to global warming. BLAH BLAH..I like meat, I am eating meat, and when/if anyone comes up with science that beef is bad FOR ME and the science sticks for 10 years then I will take up the issue.

Not before.

yes I did the whole better for your heart Becel thing too...before that the biggie was no coffee for heart patients they had to drink "Sanka" now they know Sanka is a very very poor choice and coffee is fine

but a few things

1. we KNOW we eat way, way too much meat...we know this
2. we also know it is not good to eat or drink anything excessively...we know this
3. we know they KNEW that putting antibiotics into our meat and feeding ground up dead meat to our animals that we eat was going to have massively bad consequences down the road....they did it anyway....they knew after WWll

with just those small points above, and all of the dietary knowledge that is freely available to anyone who has a brain and can do a bit of research, we know our mass produced chemically laced meat is not a healthy choice

I eat meat, I will always eat meat...but I eat very small portions and no pink slime for me, no eggs from hens that don't move all day and if I can't trace the source for the most part, I am not going there

you may not like the message but your awareness is evident from your post, that you are more knowledgeable and choosier than most no?

No one is making you do anything, sir.

But if you had your choice you would. I can already tell that based on how you're talking. you're using incorrect information to reach the wrong conclusions and then making the argument the taxpayers are paying for it. you've used the "children's interest" argument numerous times, which is a pretty good indication you want regulation. and the way you said "why don't you want to make society better"

if you were emperor we would all be vegans, or else.

and you know what's stupid? while people were being told this crap, for decades the role of transfats, refined sugars, and simple carbs were not pushed to the public same as the eggs, butter, and whole milk/cream.
it was smart for all the big corporations producing cereal and cookies and cakes, and bread though...very smart

i
t's the big three, Trans fat, simple carb, refined sugar, that cause health problems, you can eat as much steak/bacon and eggs as you want, you can dump heavy cream in your coffee. avoid trans fats and sugar and processed white flour and white rice.
yes

gotta say though I disagree with you about eating tons of chemically laced meat...not good at all

plenty of people die from clogged arteries, and colon cancer. too much meat also causes diabetes which cause many many more diseases including diabetes.
yes....the chemicals in our meat do something bizarre to the fat I think and it does not digest properly

colon cancer is increasing exponentially due to not enough fiber/roughage in our diets which is easily attained in vegetables and fruit

Europe also does not spray their wheat with the same crap we do...much smarter

you seem to have a rich fantasy life.

do you think potatoes and brown rice clog arteries and butter doesn't?

The carbohydrates were not mentioned in the study and probably could not have been, as the sample was quite divers and the specific goods not regulated. There would have been every type of carbohydrate consumed.
