I finally decided to try out this gadget I got for Christmas and I have to say that so far I'm impressed!

It's one of those "As Seen on TV" things so I didn't have high hopes but so far it's working like a champ. On Saturday I used it for chicken thighs and although I guess I didn't let it preheat correctly I still ended up with fully cooked, juicy chicken with crisp skin. Tonight I gave it a shot with a sirloin steak and sure as shootin', when it beeped "rare" I ended up with a nice rare to medium rare steak. It cooked fast too!

My only complaint is that the notification beeper isn't particularly loud so if you are doing something else while cooking you could easily miss it.

I'm not sure how this compares to a Foreman Grill (I own one but have never used it) but it's definitely effective for what it does and cleans up nice and easy.

From what I have gathered on the web it works much the same as a George Foreman grill but you can throw on frozen food onto this grill because it has a defrost mode.

I like my GF grill. It really comes in handy in my neck of the woods during the Winter months. I also like the slant to it as it allows all the fat to run off. It has a large cooking surface and I can do 4 chicken breasts, halibut, tuna, salmon, a couple large steaks, or 4 burgers at the same time.

Glad you like your new kitchen tool! May it provide you with many great meals!
