OK, I purposely did not include mom and pop places as well as regional pizza stores in this poll because that is what everybody would be voting for and there wouldn't be enough poll buttons for it.

So let's hear it, what is your favorite chain and why!

Of the big three:

Domino's - good value but their sauce is too sweet.

Pizza Hut - best value and most locations. (my preference among the big pizza chains)

Papa John's - poor value (too much advertising expense?).

Hunt Brother's (sold at many convenience stores in 28 states) - it will do in a pinch.

The big food service chain's appeal depends more on price/convenience than on product quality.

Of these chains, Pizza Hut. But I generally try to avoid them at all costs, going to this nice Rosa's Pizza close by.

Of those mentioned Pizza Hut has the best tasting product (thin crust) but they are all pretty bad.

With the number of pizza places around I don't see why anyone would order pizza from a chain but apparently they do.

Damn you. Now. I want pizza. My can of Progresso light chicken noodle heated in a bucket of water with my bucket heater WAS tasting pretty good.

Roundtable Pizza because it's high quality ingredients. Little Ceasar's because it's cheap and great for hosting company for people who just like pizza.

Pizza Hut pizza is gross and tastes like cardboard.

Haha you could cook a gourmet meal for a party and grab some little Ceasars for the kids and before you know it, everyone is grabbing a slice.

Agreed; Round Table has them all beat when it comes to quality.

Of those mentioned

CPK though I wouldn't necessarily put them in the same class

of the rest

Pizza Hut for taste

Caesar's for price

Domino's I seem to only order when in Cali. Don't ask me why this is.

Papa John's I've only had once, and that was enough for me. Don't see the big deal.

Sbarro....meh

Haven't had the other.

Pizza Hut because the pizza taste pretty good and they always have great deals during the Fall sports season

nationally, it would probably Pizza Hut out of the ones listed. regional would be Luca or Pizza King. Luca is NYC style by the slice, and it was my favorite in high school.

Not a national chain, but a regional one: Anyone who ever visits the DC/Maryland/Virginia area has got to try out Ledo Pizza.

Pizza Hut in my area was the one we chose. At the time it was a nice sit down family type atmosphere with a salad buffet and for those of us that still drank could get a beer. Of course they have since gone out of business in my area. I think there is still one in the neighboring town. Not sure.

Of course it has been over 10 years since I have eaten a big chain pizza. Too many local pizza places with better value and better pizza. In the NE where I live the big chains come and go. The people clearly support the local pizza shops and they are the better choice.

In Houston I liked CCs pizza for lunch. They were a great value pizza and salad bar for less than $5.00 back when. I think they are up to $6.00 now.

I dont always eat it but I remember pizza hut was good

What backwards world do you all live in where Pizza Hut is the pizza chain of preference?? Pizza hut pizza tastes like someone ate a nice dominos pizza and then pooped it into a pizza hut box.

I'm actually quite impartial towards costco pizza :)

I would say that Pizza Hut is marginally better than Domino's - but of course that isn't saying very much.

Having been to Italy I have been spoiled and would only consider eating a pizza there. But if I must I would agree that Pizza Hut is the best national wise. I like their hand tossed cheesy crust pizzas. Their pan pizzas are awful.

Papa John's is disgusting without the garlic sauce- every topping tastes the same no matter what you order.

Domino's is too thick on the sauce and not a lot of cheese.

Little Caesar's is more like a cheese bread than a pizza.

Sbarro's cheese pizza is probably the closest to an actual pizza from Italy but it has inferior ingredients.

CPK is more of a dine in pizza place and more expensive for the buck.

I will have to take your word for it.

I had Domino's and Pap John's when they first came out. I was not impressed and went back to the local pizzas. The others I never tried.

Round Table blows all other chains away. Either the all meat or combination are my favorites. They used to have a really good steak pizza, don't know if they still make that.

Round Table was good 45 years ago. Last time I went (20 years ago), it sucked.

Does anybody still have a Shakey's Pizza around? It was kind of a treat to go there as a kid because they showed old cartoons on a movie screen.

Ah yes, it's the man of self-declared "refined tastes", showing us more of same.
Tho I eat plenty of it, I do Not eat Chain store pizza.
Only once in my long life I had a stinking Dominos. That's it.
Growing up in NY and later living in NYC, it would be like going out for a can of Chef Boyardee Beefaroni.
