I finely chop a stalk of celery, add a little Asian vinegar and a pinch of sugar, mix it with a can of stewed tomatoes and leave in the fridge four at least three hours and it is a good side dish or a great snake with only a few calories.

My mom used to low heat a few cans adding a little sugar then before serving add torn up pieces of white bread with the crusts removed. It was a supper her mom made as they were very poor and it is great and I'll bet your kids will gobble it up. The bowl was always empty when I was growing up.
