Chuck Roast in the Slow Cooker

The next time you do a chuck roast in the slow cooker try adding some smoked sausage mid way through the process. I include new potatoes, carrot, onions and celery but threw in some chunks of smoked kielbasa and it definitely added some goodness.

Why even bother with the roast then, just cook up some sausage and throw the roast in the trash. :2razz:

Reminds me of my favorite way to smoke turkey. I put a slab of bacon on a rack above the turkey and let it baste the turkey as it smokes.
