the lunch thread

that's quite a spread.

Yeah I heard from the organizers that it was about $50 per head, which is very expensive for a catering service.
 
Leftover wrap:

Onions, mushrooms, green peppers, 1/2 ghost chili, sauteed in bacon fat. Leftover chopped up steak and chicken put in, then cheddar, at the end. Big wrap, a bit of mayo. Good.
 
vegetarian chicken patty on a pretzel bun with chipotle aioli sauce.
 
Shramps! You peel em eat em. I ran out of Old Bay (mine own fault t'was that) so I had to add to it, came out well.

Salmon patties,oodles of noodles with added cup of soup and medium shrimp from the can. For dessert I had lemon pound cake. Fish isn't just for Fridays for us.
 
i want to try one of those. they don't have them in my area yet.

I made my wife Palak Paneer the other night, came out tasting right, little spicy but the texture was off since I used a Ninja to blend the spinach, instead of mulched greens it was... creamed spinach.

Last week was on the same kick, getting back into vegetarian/pescatarian mode....

Jaipur Vegetables, Tikka Vegetables, Madras Lentils, Yellow Tadka Dal...

I don't bother cooking any of it at home as Indian food is on the list of "Things the Wife don't Like".



First time I used a Ninja to chop a mix of veggies I ended up liquifying them.

So, since it don't take me long, and I've got the callouses anyway, I chop vegetables the old fashion way, and the Ninja gets to sit on the counter looking pretty.

That way we don't end up ordering take out...:lol:
