the lunch thread

Have you had fried cuttlefish?

Like fried calamari but with an added little cruch from the developing cuttlebone. Think squid popcorn.

Many times... yum.

Gardein fishless fish sandwich with tartar sauce and lettuce
Tostitos Cantina chips and salsa

this was a complete experiment, because i didn't think that they would get the fish right. verdict : i couldn't tell the difference. it tasted like a mix of McDonalds and Gortons. i don't know how they did it.

I started digging into my Christmas pantry: sliced salami, stuffed olives, tomato salad, a small wedge of edam cheese and some leftover whole wheat bread.

I was surprised to see this thread. I don't usually eat lunch - thought most people were the same way. If I eat lunch, it's a late, late lunch / early dinner, like around 2 or 3. I am pretty much a one meal a day person, because I don't eat breakfast either. I nibble throughout the day if I get hungry, but yeah, usually one decent meal a day.

I haven't gotten there yet today. Too busy baking and getting the house ready for tomorrow.
