THC Oil/Snake Oil?

Yes, this is the way to go.

I have some sweet batteries for use with those:

They have a magnetic attachment for quick change, and automatic heating as you draw.

Today is a different world than back in the seeds and rolling device days.

WTF are “hoots?” I remember “hits,” eco’s “front loaded” comment brings to mind my early experiences with “420”, where’s H10?
I stayed away from pot for a long time. I was known as being “cool” about the other dopers, they were where I was most comfortable......then in about 10th grade, I crossed over. The first and second time, I was like, “what’s the deal here.” And then it all came together............:july_4th:

haha...hoots...maybe a Canadian thing, but you figured out what I meant...lol...

I've always loved smoking dope...probably discovered it around the same time you did. Thing is, my condition was very late to be diagnosed, and only when things came to a real head...and I was always medicating, just not really knowing why. They tried to move me over to traditional prescription drugs, it was a disaster, almost lost everything. Went back to herb, and life came together, and I managed to get back on track with family and career. Now I blaze at night, before bed...that does it for me, along with the other, non-medical stuff I do manage it.

The batteries are $28 each if I recall. I have three of them now for three oil cartridges. My current oil cartridges are THC 18.6% CBD 59.7%, THC 75.16% CBD 0.19%, and THC 24.3% CBD 55.56%. Total cannabinoids for these oils are generally just under 90%.

I prefer the Green Dragon brand, as they are unflavored. The flavored ones are a little harder on my lungs.

A $200+ dry herb vape left me disappointed a few years ago, "paz" iirc. Perhaps I'll give it another try. Plus, what about cleaning it. Vaping concentrate is no mess and cleaning is money. If I drop another 200 on a device, it'll probably be a self contained vape unit.

I have an Arizer Solo. Cleaning it isn't actually all that bad, if you stay on top of it, and make sure you clear the chamber immediately after vaping, rather than letting it sit there and trying later. The heater stays mostly clean with a minimal amount of scraping after each use, and the glass chamber needs to be replaced every so often, if you don't want to do the whole cleaning solution thing, which isn't all that hard. Ya, start up is expensive...I bought mine on sale for $175 Canadian, but it's lasted three years and is still going, so... I'm thinking it doesn't owe me much. :)

Don't get me wrong, I like the pens too...different tools for different jobs, and all of that... hehe

I think I'd need to drop more money on a modern dry herb vape, but I've got my eye on a self contained battery and vape coil contraption.

I don't really cough from vape. But a little smoke and look out.

CBD is on the label. Your too young for any first hand experience......

What do you know?

You'll want at least a 30mg dose to get reasonable pain relief, I'd say. How much that is depends entirely on how concentrated the product is.

The entire bottle is 30ml; help me with my conversion table? 1/10 of the bottle?

How many mg per ml though?

It should at least say how many mg are in the bottle.

What ever happened to hot knifing?

Some are full spectrum (which has a tiny amount of THC that won't get you high, but which is still a nonzero amount), some really are just pure CBD.

CBD is not legal everywhere. In FL it's legal over the counter. There is some allowance for thc in cbd products here, a tiny bit (generally in edibles), but good stuff is pure, liquid and expensive.

I read on facebook that CVS pharmacy is selling CBD oil. I went into a CVS and asked for it, the guy at the front counter said he had never heard of it and told me to ask the pharmacists. The pharmacist said that she never heard of it also and asked me what it was.

The odd thing is that the person who posted about CVS pharmacy selling it is a CVS pharmacist who my son knows. I asked him to ask her what was up with that, and she explained that it is just her location (about an hours drive my my home) which is offering it. I did a brief web search of news sites to see if any press release would come up about CVS selling CBS, couldn't find anything, maybe she was pulling a prank.

I still thought it was odd that no one at a pharmacy had ever heard of CBD oil. Seems like a pharmacist would be current on such things.

Some of the local vape shops have CBD oil, but I wonder if it is even real. From what I read about it, it is actually a powder that is then desolved in oil.

I know, but he was talking about transporting over state lines, which would implicate federal law depending on its content. I believe the DEA indicated it was not going to go after people who have pure CBD oil shipped to them, as the CSA focuses on THC.

Full spectrum CBD oil has some THC, albeit a tiny amount. But other oils are purified to have 0% THC.

I suppose if someone wants to be completely careful they should avoid getting it shipped, but personally I don't really worry about the oils purified to have 0%. (It also helps that weed is 100% legal in MA anyway, and the Post Office doesn't really bother with opening any packages that feel like they might have a little bottle in them)

Perhaps they meant hemp seed oil, which won't have cannaboids?

That seems heavy. Shouldn't 2 or 3 mg be enough?

of CBD? I doubt 2 or 3 mg will do much of anything.

Most capsule doses I see are either 25 or 30mg. ie,

https://www.thecbdistillery.com/cbd-shop/?slug=capsules

Though if you get oil with a dropper you can obviously use less.

OK.

Capsules are for ingestion. I'm thinking of a standard vapor dose of being around 3 mg total, and a 75% CBD would be a little over 2 mg. It acts faster, but doesn't last as long as ingesting it.

The oil cartridges I get come in 1/2 and 1 gram quantities. Approximately 300 doses per gram.

Ah, ok, I don't use a vape for CBD.

Try it sometime if available. I'll bet it's cheaper and easier to control as needed.

CCELL Revolutionary Ceramic Heating Elements

Well, I definitely do plan on getting a pen for THC oil once MA finally gets around to opening its recreational shops. I'll have to work out whether they're also compatible with CBD. I'd assume so, since a vaporizer for the bud is supposed to be able to extract most cannaboids (aka, roughly same boiling points).

I don't use it all the time, but find it quite good for stress headaches (usually accompanied by 12h+ staring at a computer screen) or my various running/lifting strains. Much better than taking NSAIDs all the time.

If it's in the evening, I ought to simply try dropping some oil over pulverized bud in my old school desktop vaporizer (see post 42 above).

Nice thing about those CCELL batteries and other designs, is many oil makers here in Oregon sell the oil already to use with these batteries. They come completely packaged with the oil, element, and mouthpiece. Most, you screw right into the pen and operate with a button. The CCELL uses a magnetic attachment to secure it to the battery, and is automatically activated when it senses you drawing. Button free!!!
