Over the last few days, we have seen a surge in false accusations against members of this forum that they are literally wishing death on other people or hoping that they will die, particularly in the form of the coronavirus. I cannot post examples right here because of existing rules, but I already have seen several instances that clearly go over this line.

Openly accusing other members of wishing or hoping for death on other people who aren't, say, enemy combatants, is no petty insult. It gets dangerously close to line of literal slander, which is not even free speech.

I believe that that kind of open accusation should be an automatic ten-pointer. Maybe even a ban for repeat offenses. This **** needs to stop.

And if the accused is actually making said wish, there's this thing called the Report button. Openly wishing death on anyone who is not a literal enemy of the republic is also a serious offense.
