“Is there a fix for the gibberish that shows up when using quotation marks?”

I thought they might show up here, but they seem to be random. This happens with original content and not just when C&Ping.

If I edit them out the text looks like an illiterate posted.

I think it has to do with whatever font the websites use. This forum is run on a pretty old system that may not translate the quotes well. You can delete the gibberish quotes and manually add them. That's what I do.

More than once I have tried to edit the marks out and add them back, but they persist. It wasn’t a problem when I first showed up?

As I posted it is not only copied text from another site.

Gremlins. Caused by minor corruption in the system software. Not limited to fonts, quotation marks, or anything else specifically. Perhaps only a matter of 1 0 or 1 of machine language misalignment. Almost impossible to locate. Sometimes Gremlins stick around, other times they fade away.

I have a personal gremlin that likes to stick her cold feet against my back during the night. There is no getting rid of her.

Strange. Have you more than one device to post on?

Majority posts are on an IPad, occasionally use the IMac, can’t use the phone because eyes and fingers dont work as they used to!

I see it in other posts as well, noticed this in the last few months.

IPad.... That explains it.

I have seen that with another poster in the past. Posting on the PC, no issues. Posting from MAC - weird indents and meta data displayed.

It's a coding issue and one that most likely won't go away. I know it would be annoying, but copying to a text file and pasting from the text file to DP would solve the issue. I'll look into this this weekend if I have time - not sure of there is a fix or not since we're running an older version of vB.

Screen shot? Not sure what you are talking about.
