Have the forum's policies about deleting accounts changed?

Hey there. About 6.5 years ago, I used to be an active poster on this forum. A lot of the views I expressed on here no longer reflect what I believe; I was in a much different place in life when I started this account than where I am now. It would give me some peace of mind if my account were deleted, mostly for professional reasons.

I recognize this place has a policy of not deleting accounts because, otherwise, users may create "sock puppet" aliases. Let me assure you, I have zero intention of ever making another account on this site. Excluding this post, I haven't been on here for the better part of a decade, and my "forum-posting days" are over in general. I'm just a normal person concerned about their privacy and trying to minimize their online footprint.

Please consider making an exception to your policy and deleting my account. I really don't want to go through my 1000+ posts and delete specific ones.

Well, jeez.....after stumbling over your current post, I read some of your previous posts and they seem pretty mild imho.
Why do you think your anonymous posts will affect your professional life?
 
You running for president or something? ;) Up until this post, I doubt I would have searched through 1,000-plus 6.5 year old posts, wondering which ones you might want to delete, but now you've piqued my curiosity. :mrgreen: Hopefully while you were gone the great Yoda set you straight on the path to becoming a conservative Jedi Master. :2wave:
