Ya, and I have been on forums for near 20 years and I dont like this feeling I get that DP exists near the slums of the internet.

All these down times are not cool.

Are we in need of better?

What does better cost?

I am in China and Americans I know can't access the www. We have a China network connection but access to the internet is blocked. We get a page that says exactly that. Can't connect to DP except for brief times such as now. Can't connect to CNN in usa or MSNBC or any tv streaming live to include Faux. This now is as far as I've got into DP for around 15 hours and it is this one time only up to the moment. I don't know whether this will post or whether I will continue to have access to DP as I have at the moment. This problem may not be common to DP members and readers in USA, but there anyway is apparently some problem for the members and the general public accessing DP today, for some period of time on and off. The trade war is breaking backs in China and they're ticked off over here. Turn up the screws I say.

Schweddy through the Admins usually makes it known when that's needed.
 
The cost of carping is an intangible. So it's a challenge to quantify it. This is especially true when the whinging becomes expected, i.e., not surprising in where it unloads itself. Self-defeating as it is to begin with.
